My Immortal Love

It was All Hallows Eve and Raven Montgomery had gotten tickets to a special concert which featured her favorite band, Black Veil Brides. She was delighted to be able to get front row thanks to a few cancellations due to the weather reports. Raven had picked out the best costume in her collection which was an abstract version of her namesake and she hoped that it was unique enough to possibly win the mini contest to be brought on stage to sing with with Andy, which she wouldn't be upset if she didn't win, she was there to enjoy the music.

Raven was singing her heart out to her favorite song Drag Me to the Grave, feeling joy that she hadn't felt in so many years. The song ended and Andy, who was dressed like normal except he had on a mask from the Wretched and Divine album. “Hey BVB Army, it's time to pick the winner of the mini costume contest! The person with the most unique costume will get to come and sing with me for the next few songs!” A large cheer was heard from the crowd and Andy looked over the audience. He didn't really see a costume that stuck out, everyone was dressed in BVB Army style clothing with the classic warpaint. Andy was getting disappointed but he didn't let it show, he was about to give up and just point at someone when he saw Raven and he put the microphone up to his lips. “I have found our winner!” The crowd grew quiet and Andy looked to Raven. “Would the person dressed as a Raven please come to the stage?”

Raven smiled with glee and she was helped up to the stage by the security guards. “I can't believe I won.” She mumbled to herself and she shook Andy's hand when he offered it to her. “Thank you so much for this opportunity!”

“You had the most unique costume, you deserve the prize. Now which song do you want to sing first?” Andy held a microphone to Raven who took it and thanked him.
“Truthfully, I would like to sing three songs with you, Lost it All, Wretched and Divine, and Faith-” Raven was interrupted by a loud boom which she knew the sound of all to well and she mouthed the words 'Oh No' before the stage was struck by a bolt of lightening which sent her and the band flying into the air. She used what energy she had left to extend her wings and wrap them around the band members before blacking out.


Four days had passed and Andy was finally starting to stir. “What the hell happened?” He looked around a came to the conclusion that they were in a hospital. “Oh...that storm.” Andy got up, took the IV out of his arm and walked out of the room and located a nurse. “Excuse me, how long have we been here?”

“Four days Mister Biersack, have any of your friends woken up yet?” The nurse looked up from a chart.


“Well, with the way CC, that would be Christian Coma, looked when I left our room...he probably woke up and then went back to sleep. May I ask where the young woman was that came in with us is located?” Andy looked to the nurse and she gestured at him to follow, which he did.


“Raven Montgomery is in this room, we don't know when she's going to wake. She took most of the damage..from the strike.” The nurse opened the door for Andy and walked away.

“Raven, oh God why did I bring you up on that stage? You got hurt...please wake up, I am so sorry for this happening.” Andy sat next to Raven and he took her hand, said a little prayer and waited for Raven to wake up.


Raven physically showed no signs of waking but in her mind she was fighting a darkness that she had never experienced before. She knew she should keep fighting but she was so tired that she was about to let the darkness take her until she heard a voice calling, a voice she recognized from Halloween...the voice of Andy and something in her stirred and she broke through the darkness.


Still holding her hand, Andy kept apologizing for what had happened and he closed his eyes to pray again but stopped when he heard a groan. “Raven?”


Raven groaned and she blinked her eyes swiftly to adjust to the light. “Andy? Thank Nyx you are alive, how do you feel.?"


Andy looked at Raven with concern but he smiled softly and wiped a tear from his eye. “I'm fine, and so is CC..I haven't checked on Ashley, Jake or Jinxx but the nurse has assured me they are ok.” He let go of her hand to grab a tissue. “Raven, I am so sorry I put you in danger, I would never in a million years intentionally hurt you or anyone.”


“Hush now, I'm stronger than you think.” Raven sat up and took out the IV line from her arm. “I hate these things. Andy..thank you for the opportunity, even though it was a short lived opportunity, to sing with you.” Her eyes flashed from the ocean blue that they appear to be, to a sharp icy blue and back again and Andy noticed.


“Raven, I think your eyes just changed colors.” Andy brushed her hair back to see if it would happen again and it did. “Is there..is there something you are hiding. I promise you I won't judge you, if there's anything my band stands for..it's not to judge.”


Raven just stood there in the middle of the room and she untucked her crystal necklace from under the neckline of her dress. “Stand back..” She grasped her necklace in her hand and she spoke in her native Khelekian. “Noldorin sanya immo.” An ice blue glow encased Raven and Andy could see changes taking place.


Andy could see horns curling out from Raven's head, cloven hooves had replaced her feet and what really caught Andy's eye were the wings that were uncurling from Raven's shoulders. “Whoa....” He sat down to keep himself from collapsing to his knees in awe. The glow faded and Andy saw Raven's true form, an ice blue figure with long snow white hair, with ice blue wings, hooves and horns. “Raven?”

Raven folded her wings and sat on the bed so Andy could get a better look at her true form. “This is what I really am, an ice demon from the realm of Khelek. I was sent to this world when I was 16..I don't remember why but I'm sure my parents had a good reason.”


“This...you look amazing. Raven, can I go get CC? If anyone would be most understanding about this....and keep quiet, it would be him. I just want someone else in the band to know..just in case something were to happen to me.” Andy waited for Raven to answer and left to go get CC when he saw her give a small nod. A few minutes later Andy could be heard talking to CC, giving him a warning not to scream or do anything crazy when he saw Raven.


“Dude, I promise I won't do anything stupid now show me what you want to show me.” CC said to Andy and he opened the door and his jaw dropped. “Is that..the girl from Halloween?” He circled the bed to get a better look at Raven and he asked her, “May I ask, what are you?”


“I am an ice demon, but I want to make it clear I am not evil.” Raven stood up and her hooves made a clopping sound against the tile. “You must not tell anyone you saw me in this form, the only reason Andy saw it is because he noticed my eyes change color.” She returned to her human form and they walked out of the room to see if the others had been released so they could walk home together.

"Hey guys! Glad to see everyone still alive." Ashley hugged his friends and Raven and they all sat in the lobby to wait on their discharge papers. "So CC, Andy, who is this lovely lady?"

CC took Raven by the hand. "This is Raven, she was the winner of the costume contest on Halloween."

"Oh yeah, well, glad to officially meet you Raven and I am glad to see that you are alright." Ashley slid back into his chair, found a pen and a slip of paper and started to doodle.

"Nice to meet you guys as well, have any of you seen a newspaper around here? I need to check housing listings." Raven looked around the lobby for a news paper and took the one that Jinxx handed to her.

"Looking to move?" Jinxx inquired and he picked up another newspaper to help Raven look.

"Not exactly, the night of the concert..my apartment building burned down. Someone upstairs had probably left their stove on again." She flipped through the newspaper looking at the different house options. "None of these are in my price range."


"Be right back..Ashley, CC would you come with me please?" Andy and his friends walked to the far side of the lobby. "Why don't we invite her to stay with us? I feel like it's the right thing to do after what happened."

"Andy's right, we invited her on stage and she ended up getting seriously hurt." Ashley agreed and looked to CC for his opinion.

"Even if that didn't happen, I would still want her to live with us. She's nice and she seems like she wants to help others." CC babbled on about the things he saw in Raven. "I'm gonna go find a vending machine, I'm thirsty, anybody wanna come with?


Andy and Ashley shook their heads. "No thanks bro, I'm gonna go tell Raven she's gonna stay with us." Andy left the group to go tell Raven the good news and Ashley followed him.

CC searched the hall for a vending machine and when he came upon one he was feeling like he had been walking through the desert, he was abnormally thirsty. "Finally, that tea looks good, I wonder how much--" He clutched his stomach as the sharp, agonizing pains started spreading through his body and he screamed a blood curdling scream of pain.

Andy and Ashley made it back to the lobby. "Hey Raven, good news. We talked it over and decided you are going to stay with us." Ashley said and he gestured to the hallway when he and Andy heard a scream that they knew could only be their friend.



"CC!" Andy ran down the hall to his friend and was stopped dead in his tracks by a sharp, stabbing pain in his chest. He crumpled to the floor like a ragdoll. "What's going on?!"

Raven saw Andy fall to the floor and ran to help him, her voice shook with panic that they were not completely healed. "Andy, it's going to be ok, you and CC are going to be fine. Come on, let's get you and CC to a room. NURSE!"

A nurse came around the corner and Raven shot up in front of her, staring deep into the nurses eyes with her own icy blue ones. "Find me a room, no questions...hurry now." Raven picked up Andy and CC then followed the nurse to an empty, secluded room. "Wait outside for my next order." The nurse did as directed and Raven turned to check on Andy and CC.

"Let me check your teeth." Raven lifted the corner of their upper lips and her worst fears were realized. "Oh Goddess no, nurse get in here!" The nurse opened the door. "I need a few packets of blood, a small cooler full if at all possible." The nurse ran off to go get the blood packets.

"Raven, what's happening to us?" CC asked Raven inbetween shallow, staggered breaths. "I'm freaking out out over here, Andy's passed out from panic."

Raven looked at CC and Andy and with hesitation she explained what was happening to the both of them. "So..in short...you guys are turning into vampires. I don't know why just you two....Oh good she's back." She took the cooler and sent the nurse on her way, erasing any memory of the past hour's events. "Drink these, you will feel better, trust me please." Raven snipped the corner from one packet and CC snatched it away and Andy stirred from his sleep and took the one that was offered to him.

"So, vampires...interesting." A voice was heard from the door. "Andy, you are about to live your dream and you know it!"

"Jinxx! You shouldn't be here, it's not safe right now." Raven tried to close the door but Jinxx pushed right past her.

"I'll be fine, Andy knows not to attack me, so does CC. I read way too many fantasy, horror and other books that deal with vampires and how to kill them. So, can we go home now?" Jinxx looked at Raven and picked up Andy. "You carry CC."

"Sure, come on CC up you get." Raven picked up CC and tossed him over her shoulder and they both walked out of the hospital with the rest of the group and they caught a quick bus ride home.

"Hey Raven, I just realized you have nowhere to sleep. You can have my bed for tonight if you want, I'll clean out the guest room tomorrow for you." Ashley offered and he took a pillow and blanket from the living room closet. "I'll take the couch."

"Ashley, I can't let you do that. This is your home, I'm just a guest." Raven took the pillow and blanket from Ashley and sat them on the couch.

"I insist, this will be your home too, you are a true Wild One, I can see it in you. Wild One's can always call this place home, now go upstairs and go to bed. My room is the one with my Deviant vest draped across the front." Ashley gave Raven a hug and sent her upstairs.
