Picture Perfect?

DEVLIN'S POV :

Well , as everyone expected , as soon as the pictures went up on social media , they almost broke the internet . Ash posted the picture of us on the floor that Jake snapped , with the caption , "Best day of my life . The girl of my dreams just agreed to become my wife . Happy Birthday , my beautiful Devlin ." Then , several of the other guests posted pictures and video to their sites , as well as the band's . By the time we got back to our room , Ashley's Twitter account had over 150 tweets , and nearly that number on the band account . Facebook was even more swamped .
Surprisingly , the biggest part of the reaction has been positive . Most of the fans have sent congratulations , and said how glad they are that Ash finally found someone who makes him happy , even though some of them admit to being sad that it wasn't them . I was actually sort of surprised when some of the male fans sent him messages about how lucky he was , and that they were jealous of him having such a hot fiancee . He sent back a reply that said , "I couldn't agree more . If I weren't me , I'd be jealous of myself ."
Which prompted Andy to respond , "Dude , what the fuck ? I can't decide if that makes any sense or not !"
From CC : "Makes perfect sense to me !"

Andy : "Is that supposed to reassure me ?"

Ashley : "I know what I mean , that's all that matters ."

But unfortunately , there is always the flip side of the coin . I've now joined the BVB Ladies Club , which means that I have at least one website devoted to telling the world what a terrible , manipulative , evil wench I am . I haven't quite reached Juliet's status yet , but I'm definitely unpopular with a sizable number of people . Some of the more popular themes are ;

"They just started dating , and they're getting married ? She must be knocked up !"

"If she is , I hope he's smart enough to get a DNA test ."

"She's only with him because he's famous . Probably thinks he can boost her career ."

"More likely she thinks she won't HAVE to work if she lands a rock star hubby !"

"What the hell , Ash ! You know you can do better than that ! You need a REAL woman !"

Unfortunately , they're pissing him and the other guys off more than me , which is presumably what they want . After he sends a particularly colorful response to the DNA statement , I'm forced to ask him to remove himself from social media , again , before he gets himself banned for life .
"Right now it seems like it might be worth it , darlin' ! Do you really think either of us should have to put up with that shit ?" , he grumbles .
"No , I don't think that anyone really should . But I also don't want you losing your temper and getting yourself sued , or losing fans for the band . Just ignore it , like the rest of the guys have been doing ."
"OK , I'll try , just for you , though . But I warn you right now , love , if anybody is ever stupid enough to say that shit to my face , I'm going to rearrange theirs !"
"Not an ideal response ." , I reply . " But after Tanya , and that dumbass bartender , I don't suppose I have any room to argue with you ."
He grins at that , and says , "No, probably not .Correct me if I'm wrong , but I seem to recall something about popping someone's implants , is that right ?"
"OK , point made . Just don't get yourself in any trouble that we can't bail you out of , alright ?"

"SCREAM IF YOU LIKE IT !"
SCREAM LIKE YOU ....."

Ash grabs his phone and clicks it on . "Hey , Blasko , 'sup , dude ?"
He listens for a minute , then says , "Let me put you on speaker , you can ask her yourself , OK ?"
He puts the phone on speaker , and I hear Blasko say , "Hey , Dev , I have a proposition for you . One of the webzines wants to interview you and the other girls about what it's like to have to put up with all the craziness you all get . Inna , Tiff , and Alice are on board , and I still have to catch up with Juliet . Whaddya say , you want to get your side out to the public ?"
"Sure , I've got no problem with it . Then if anybody bugs me about it in the future , I can just tell 'em to look at that ." , I tell him .
"Alright , then , let me track down the wandering Biersack's , and I'll get back to you with the details . Later , guys !"
Ash puts his hands on my shoulders , and asks me , "Are you sure you want to do this ? You don't have to , even if the other girls do it ."
"Yeah, I think it might be a good idea . If I don't , then it's almost like I'm hiding from it , and I have no reason to do that ." , I tell him .

One week later :

Ash and I are back in LA , on our way to the office of the webzine to do the interview . After a bit of consideration , they've decided that they want to do a two - part article . First , they're going to interview the guys , letting them put out their thoughts about all of the internet stuff that's been out , not just about their relationships , but band rumors and everything else .
Then , for the second part , they'll talk to us , and apparently , they have questions that some fans have sent in that they're going to ask us , too .
We walk inside , and we are apparently the last ones to arrive . The other guys are already there checking themselves in the mirror , while the interviewer , who resembles the guy on the TV show "My Cat From Hell" , is apparently getting his questions organized .
Ash goes to join the others , while I grab a seat with the other girls , and we watch the guys being interviewed . They're all very open about their thoughts on all the rumors and negativity that's been going on , and fortunately , nobody loses their temper .
When they finish , we have a break for lunch , then come back to do our part .
We take our places , and the interviewer does his standard show opening , then says . 'One thing that no one can accuse the members of Black Veil Brides of is choosing their ladies solely on the basis of being eye - candy . While they are all quite attractive , they are also talented , intelligent , educated women , with their own careers and interests , and they balance these with the challenges of being with a touring musician , who can be gone for weeks or months at a time . Today , they will have the chance to share how they cope with the challenges that go with these relationships ."
He has us all introduce ourselves , and share some details , like what our jobs are , how we met the guys , ages , and that sort of thing . Then , we discuss how we cope with the guys being gone so much , which I can't really answer , because Ashley hasn't been away since we've been together . He asks me , "Since they do have a tour coming up in the near future , can we address the question of whether you have any concerns about the amount of time that Ashley will be traveling around , without you ?"
"If you mean am I worried about him screwing around , that would be a definite NO ! He's never given me any reason not to trust him , but he also knows that if it happened , that would be the end . We had that conversation when we first got together , and we decided that neither of us is willing to share , there's no point being with someone you can't trust ."
After a few more questions , he opens things up to fan questions that are coming in over some sort of live - chat thing . Juliet and Alice get some rather pointed questions, of course , about the plane thing , and the picture thing , and they answer them as well as possible . Tiff and Inna get some questions about their feelings on the websites that are dedicated to hating them , and the rest of us chime in a little on that .
Then , it's my turn . The first one who comes on says ,"Hi , Devlin . First of all , congrats on getting engaged to Ash . You guys are really cute together . But , a lot of us would like to know if there's any truth to the rumor that you guys are having a baby ."
"If we are , nobody's told me ." , I answer . "I guess I'd like that one day , but I think we should at least get through the wedding first , and maybe the tour ."
I see Ash over on the couch , sort of chuckling at that , then he gives me a wink .
A couple more fans come on , just to offer congratulations , then another one comes on with a question .
"With all of the nasty things that people are saying , is there any one thing that bugs you more than the rest ?" , the girl , who says her name is Sophie , inquires .
"Yes , actually , there is . The thing that royally pisses me off , no matter which of us it's directed at , is when someone says , 'Oh , she's only with him for his money' , or , 'She only wants him 'cause he's famous .' " , I tell her . "I consider that to be an insult to the guys , it makes it sound like they don't have anything else to offer . These are five of the most awesome human beings I've ever met , and that crap just makes me want to slap someone ."
"You tell 'em , sister !" , Alice shouts .
"Ashley is the most important person in the world to me , and I don't care what he does . If he gets up tomorrow and tells me he's ready to chuck his career and go flippin' raise sheep somewhere , then I guess I'd better learn how to use a set of shears , because he's not going without me !"
"What she said !" , Tiff interjects , "Where CC goes , I go ."
"Ditto !" , Juliet agrees , "My home is with Andy , wherever that is ."
"I plan to be with Jake til the end of our lives ." , says Inna , in her strongly accented voice .
" I couldn't agree more ." , Alice adds . " Whatever Jinxx wants to do with his life is fine with me . It won't change my feelings if he decides to give up music , or go back to classical , or whatever ."
"On that note , we're officially out of time . Thanks to Black Veil Brides , and their better halves , for being so open and honest on some really challenging topics ." He then does his outro , and shuts down the camera .
We all leave the building , and decide to meet up for dinner . As Ash and I get to the car , he stops and wraps his arms around me before I can open my door .
"Do you know how much I love you , babe ?" , he whispers into my ear .
"I think I might ." , I say , with a smile .
"Did you really mean what you said in there ?"
"Ash , what the hell ? You know that I'd go anywhere with you ." , I say , giving him a very startled look .
He give me a squeeze , and says , "No , darlin' , I didn't mean that part . I meant what you said to the first person . About maybe wanting kids one day ."
"Why are you asking me that ? Is that something you don't want ?"
"Actually , I find the idea of a mini - Dev very appealing ." , he says , with that smirk of his .
"What about a mini - Ash , instead ?" , I respond .
"Do you really think the world can handle more than one of me , love ?"
"Could be an adventure , that's for sure . But personally , I'd be more concerned for Tiff . What if she produces a mini -CC one day ?"
"If that happens , look out world !"
