Early
"So if I only take the required classes in the spring I can graduate early?" I ask
"Allison, you still have senior English"
"I'll take it in summer and be ready for school in the fall."
"Even if I allowed it you can not guarantee Julliard will accept you early."
"So I ask them, the worst is they say no. English is the only requirement I need next year. Am I supposed to have one class next year?"
"We would put you in a study hall and electives."
"I don't want electives and I don't want another study hall! I want to begin my dream."
How is it so hard to let me graduate early? Seriously four weeks of English classes in the summer and I can be in Julliard in the fall! How hard? Mrs. Bailey sends me out of her office, but jokes on her, I have study hall this period, worthless. But I use my time in the library emailing Julliard.

"Is that Allison?" Sandra bugs me
"No, I do have other friends." I tell her
"How is Allison?" Ashley asks
"She is fine. She is trying hard to graduate early and get into Julliard by fall."
"Does she know you dropped out?" Sandra laughs
"No, and I will tell her when I am ready."
"Man she might be pissed." says our guitarist
"Maybe she'll make you get your G.E.D." Ashley busts out laughing
"She can't make me do anything."

The bell rings and I have the e-mail printed in my hands. She has to let me graduate early now.
"Allison? What is this?"
I place it on her desk and cross my arms. She sighs. I have a triumphant smile on my face knowing I have won this battle. I will be attending Julliard in the fall. She taps on her computer and hands me my schedule.
