Soul Mates

The Fight

"You're graduating in Spring!?!?!" Shelby yells at me
"Shelby, you knew I was trying too, why are you angry?"
"I didn't think you would actually do it! You're leaving me!"
"I would've left you next year anyway Shells! This is my dream, what happened to supporting each other?"
"I thought we did."
"What are you talking about?"
"My show Allison! I had my first modeling gig in New York and you missed it!"
"I had Alyssa's concert!"
"You could've said no!"
"How can you say that to me? I met Andy there!"
"Oh, so now Andy is more important than me?"
"Shelby do you know how dumb you sound right now? I didn't know I was going to meet him! I went for my sister!"
"Again! YOU. COULD. HAVE. SAID NO!"
And with that she slams her locker and walks away from me. She makes me so angry! I should just walk away, let us both calm down...
"I'm glad I didn't go to your show! I met my soul mate! Sorry your wrist is still clear!"
She whips around, tears in her eyes, "How dare you!" and shes gone.
I messed up, but after that she is not going to want to talk to me for a while. She is my best friend, why are we fighting?
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
"Hello?" I say smile already on my face
"Andy?"
"Allison? What's wrong sweet heart?"
My poor girl, she sounds like she's crying, what is happening to her?
"I... I just... needed to hear your voice."
"Babe come on, I know something is bothering you, I feel it. Tell me about it."
She tells me all about how she got the okay to graduate early, and I am so proud of her, but why is she crying? Oh! Now I get it, she got into a fight with her best friend, that is rough. She told me they are so close they consider themselves sisters, and now she is worried that their relationship is scarred forever.
"Hey, it's going to be okay. You two just need time to yourselves." I reassure her
"You are right, I just..."
"I know."
I can imagine her smiling on the other end. "Hey, I'm proud of you."
"Thank you. How is tour?"
And with that the conversation is a happy one. I tell her all about tour and how it is over in two weeks. Then it's back to L.A. to get busy writing new music.
