Skylar awoke to the alarm and groaned. It was time to go back to school. It had been three weeks since she had come home from the hospital. She had kept up with all her assignments so she would still graduate on time.

She got out of bed and headed to the bathroom She took a quick shower and got dressed. She was still wearing the brace so it took her a little longer than usual to get ready. She grabbed her bag and headed out of her bedroom. She was about to walk out the door when she was hit by a feeling of nausea and had to run back to the bathroom. She stood up and flushed the toilet. When she turned around, Andy was standing in the doorway looking at her with concern.

"Are you alright, angel?" He asked as he came into the room.

"Yeah, it's those stupid pain pills. They make me nauseous. I shouldn't have taken one without eating something first." She said as she went to the sink to brush her teeth again.

She finished brushing her teeth while Andy stood there watching her. She rinsed her mouth and spit into the sink. When she turned to leave the bathroom, she saw Andy looking at her oddly.

"What?" she asked.

"Angel, I don't think it's the pills that's making you sick.?" He said looking down at her.

"What do you mean?" she said frowning.
"You have two heartbeats." he said walking over to her.
"Two heartbeats?"
"There's yours and then another." he said as he placed a hand on her belly.

She didn't know what to say. She tried to think back to the last time she had her period, but couldn't remember. She knew it had been before Andy had come into the real world. They'd had sex a few times. They didn't use protection. She hadn't even thought about it. Apparently neither did he.

"Are you sure?" She asked looking up at him.
"I'm sure, love."

They walked out of the bathroom together. Skylar sat down on the couch. Her mind was racing. She wasn't sure what she should feel. She was happy. She'd always wanted children. She was also scared. There was a good possibility the baby would be a vampire. She also didn't know if Andy would even want a baby.

"Of course I want the baby, Skylar. Why wouldn't I?" he said reading her thoughts.
"I don't know. A baby is a big responsibility, Andy. How would we take care of it? I'm still in school."
"Skylar, you let me worry about that. I promise, I'll take care of you and this baby. I wouldn't have it any other way." He said pulling her onto his lap.

She smiled. She was happy. She knew Andy would keep his promise. She pulled him into a kiss. School was forgotten. Right now she had more important things to worry about. Andy pulled away and placed a kiss on her belly.

"First thing we need to do is find a bigger place. It's already crowded here. We'll need to make room for our little one." He said as he rubbed her stomach. "We can start hunting for one today."
