My Perfect Weapon

Andy set watching Skylar sleep. She has only been home a few days and he was still afraid to let her out of his sight. He hadn't hunted since she had come and the thirst was beginning to be too much. He needed blood.
He sighed and got up off the bed. He went into the kitchen and pulled a bag of blood from the fridge. He quickly drained the contents and threw the empty bag in the trash. He had discovered that bagged blood would only hold the thirst off for so long. He need fresh blood to hold it off for more than a few hours. He had gone through most of the bags he got from the hospital in the last few days. He needed to hunt.

He was debating on rather he should go out when someone knocked on the door. He looked at the clock on the stove. It was 11:30. Who would be knocking at this time? He went to the door and opened it. Kevin Jenkins stood there looking like he hadn't slept in days.

"I'm sorry to bother this late, Andy, but I need your help. I didn't know what else to do."
"Come in, but you'll have to be quiet. Skylar is asleep."

He nodded as Andy stepped back to let him in. He walked into the livingroom and took a seat on the couch. Lacy and Erica came into the livingroom. "Are you alright, Kevin?" Lacy asked in concern.
"No, I'm afraid not, Lacy." He said as he pulled a file out from his jacket.

Andy set down next to him and took the file from him. He opened it to find photos of the bodies of young girls. All of them were nude and had their throats cut. It was shocking. These girls couldn't be more than fifteen or sixteen. It made him sick. He looked up.
"What is this?"
"It's a copy of the file of a case that one of the other detectives has been working on for about a month now. These girls have all been raped and murdered. The perp abducts the girls and keeps them for three days before he murders them. During that time he rapes and tortures them."
"That's disgusting. Who would do such a thing?" Erica said looking as if she were going to be sick.
"There are some sick people in this world, Erica." Kevin said.
"Why are you showing me this?" Andy asked looking up from the file. He couldn't stand to look at the photos anymore.
"The perp always contacts a member of the family and tells them everything he's going to do to them before he kills them. He uses a device to disguise his voice. about three hours ago he contacted my sister. He has my niece, Andy. God knows what he's done to Lauren already. If we don't find her, he's going to kill her." He said his voice breaking.

Lacy set down and pulled kevin into a hug. "It'll be alright, Kevin. We'll help you find her," She said looking over at Andy. He looked back down at he file in his hand. This guy was seriously twisted and he had Kevin's niece.
"Please, Andy, you have to help me. She's only fifteen." He said looking up at him with pleading eyes.
"Where was she taken from?"
"Her house. Karen works night at the hospital. Her husband died a few years ago. Lauren was home alone when he took her."
"Is your sister there now?"
"No, she's at my house. Her house is considered a crime scene."
"Can you take me there?" He asked as he stood up.

Kevin nodded and got up off the couch. Andy led the way to the front door. He stopped as he opened it. "Erica you come with me. Lacy you stay here with Skylar." He said. Erica jumped up and followed them out the door. He hoped there would be a trace of the guys scent in the house. It might be difficult since the police had been there. If not, he could probably pick up Lauren's. Either way, this wouldn't be easy. The guy could have her anywhere in the city and they only had three days to find her. The clock was ticking.
