My Perfect Weapon

Lacy opened her eyes. She had no idea where she was or how she had gotten here. She set up and looked around. It was then she realized she was on a metal table. There were sheet covered bodies on either side of her and she realized she was in a morgue.

There was a noise from behind a door to her right. She became aware of a wonderful smell and her mouth began to water. There was a hunger gnawing in her. A burning in her throat. She got up and crossed the room to the door, following that scent. When she opened the door, she saw a man in a white lab coat standing across this new room with his back to her. The smell was stronger now and she suddenly found herself standing right behind the man. Her teeth began to tingle. She had the urge to bite into his flesh. It was the only way to ease the burning in her throat. She lunged and sank her fangs into his neck.

The taste was amazing. The most wonderful thing ever. Like the finest chocolate. She didnt want to stop. The man went limp under her and his heartbeat slowed.

"Lacy, you need to stop now, you're killing him."

She turned hissing as she did, baring her fangs. She stopped when she realized it was Andy. Everything came rushing back to her and she dropped the man to the floor. She remembered she was dead. Andy had killed her, but not really. She was a vampire now.

"Skylar?" Lacy asked as her head cleared.
"She's fine. She's at home, it worked." he said as he handed her some clothes.

She realized she was completely nude. "Oh my God! I'm naked!" She cried and rushed away to the other room with the clothes. She could here Andy laughing at her from the other room as she quickly dressed.

"It's not funny." She said as she came back.
"It was pretty entertaining actually." he said smirking.
"Shut up!" She said as she glared at him.
"Lets go" He said chuckling again.

They made their way out of the building and down the street. They kept to the shadows even though no one was on the street. It was dark and she found herself wondering how long it had been she'd died.

"How long was I gone?"
"Only a day. Are you ok to go home? You're not still hungry are you?" he asked looking at her.
"No I'm fine. You're worried I'll hurt Skylar."
"I just want to make sure. I'm not taking chances with her. I know how powerful the hunger can be. I need to know you can control yourself."
She remember how it had been when she woke. "I'm ok, but just in case, don't leave me alone with her just yet. I would never forgive myself if I hurt her." He nodded.

They quickly made it to the apartment building. They stood looking up at it for a moment. "Are you ready?" Andy asked looking over at her. She took a deep breath and nodded. "Don't let me hurt her, Andy."

She hoped she would be able to control herself. They walked into the apartment. Skylar's scent hit her as she walked in the door, but there was no hunger. She relaxed a little. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad as she thought. Andy placed a hand on her arm bringing her out of her thoughts. "Do you wanna see her now?" he asked. A small smile crossed her lips and she nodded. It was time to put it to the test.
