My Perfect Weapon
Chapter 20: A Good Day to Die.
"This is the best chance we have, Andy, and you know it. They can't hold her if another body turns up." Lacy replied. He knew she was right, but he still didn't like it. "Remember it has to look like the others." She said as she lay down on the rooftop of the police station.
"It won't be easy, Lacy and I'm sorry for that." He said as he kneeled beside her.
"I know." She said. "Andy, I want to apoligize for the way I acted before. I'm sorry I treated you like I did. I know Skylar will be safe with you. Make sure she gets the note I left for her.'
"Don't worry about the past. I'm sorry it has to be this way, Lacy. Skylar won't understand at first. She might not want me around after this." He said sadly.
"I've explained everything in the note. Now, let's get this over with." She said looking up at him.
He looked down at her lying on the rooftop and pulled out the knife. She closed her eyes. A tear slid down his cheek as he raised the knife and brought it down with a lightning quickness. The first blow went straight into her heart, killing her instantly. He wasn't going to put her through unnecessary pain. He brought the knife down over and over again. Each time another tear slipped out, even though he knew she couldn't feel it.
After he knew she was gone, he attached a note to her using the knife. He picked up her body and brought her to the edge of the roof. He gave her one last look before tossing her over the edge. He was gone, taking off into the night, before her body even hit the ground. If this didn't work, Skylar would never forgive him.
