Heart of Fire

*One month later*

Everyone around me dies. I can't deal with this anymore. I have no real family left and today we are looking for someone to fill his position. Warped is over and I have nothing left.

I walk down the New York street in slow motion. Everyone around me is so happy. The weather is freezing and the holidays are coming so people are excited. Children are running down the sidewalk screaming about something and I'm on my way to pick out a replacement for my brother.

I know that I'm being dramatic but the situation is still terrible. I arrive at the building and swing the door open. I flinch as it slams behind me. The light inside is bright and artifical and stings my eyes.

I see Nikki first and she hugs me for a little too long. I haven't seen her since tour, I haven't seen anyone but Ashley. He is the next person I see, which confuses me, I don't mind but he isn't part of the band. He hurries towards me and kisses me and hugs me. The electric still not disappearing.

Then Hudson and a guy that I've never seen before. He has blonde hair and is wearing casual yet very tailored clothes. He looks up at all of us and says, "Okay now that everyone is here we can get started. We don't usually do this but under the circumstances it's different. There are four people that applies and we'll interview them."

He nods at a secretary by the door that I hadn't noticed before and she disappears outside and comes back with a guy with black hair and black eyes. Ashley leans back on the couch we're sitting on and puts his arm around me. I zone out.

After the last person who is a girl with bright blue hair and pale skin the blonde guy who said his name is James stands up. "Okay (he was the kind of person the said okay a lot) you can talk about who you want for a while i'll leave now."

I still didn't exactly understand the point of him being there in the first place but I just nodded. The door closing sounded harsh and I jumped again.

"I liked the last girl the best. What was her name? Aurora?" Hudson said, getting right to it. He looked really nervous about something.

"Yeah, she was definately my favorite." Nikki agreed and looked at me.

I just shrugged my shoulders, "Yeah, i guess."

That was the wrong thing to say.

Hudson was set off, "What do you mean 'i guess'? This is our band! I realize that youre upset but this is really important."

I could feel Ashley tense up beside me. "Yeah i know."

I could tell Hudson was trying to control his temper, he just shook his head and said, "Well i guess it's settled then."

I really need to learn to update frequently. I'm really bad at this and I discovered this again and I'm not sure what this chapter is even about
