Heart of Fire

*Ashley's POV*

I leaned in to kiss her and feeling our lips touch sent a shiver down my spine. I loved her. I knew it and it scared me, I wasn't ready to say the words yet. I hadn't really known her that well and I didn't want to tell her I loved her on the first date. I knew that bothered girls.

I pulled back quickly, immediately regretting it. We said our good-byes and I went to go back to the bus to sort things out with Andy. He was acting weird, especially when I told him I had a date with Skylar. He usually didn't care so I'm not sure why he would now.

"What's up man?" I asked sitting down on the couch.

"I just-I don't really know how I feel about you and Skylar going out." He said shifting uncomfortably, this was strange for him.

"What do you mean?" I was beginning to wonder if he liked her, something was definitely going on.

"Well I um, I slept with her."

"What? Are you serious?" I didn't even know how to respond to this, she didn't seem the girl to sleep around. I was hoping not, anyways.

"Yeah, at the party after the first day of tour." He looked at the floor.

I still didn't know what to do, usually we weren't into the same kinds of girls. Honestly I was into the party girls. Andy, on the other hand wanted a girl that would stay with him for a while. Complete opposites, so how we found ourselves into this, I wasn't sure.

"I mean, I don't really know what to say." Usually I wouldn't have a problem with this. Most girls I had one night stands with had slept with too many guys to count. But for some reason Skylar was different.

"It didn't seem like it mean't much to her. She left before I even woke up. Maybe she was drunk."

"Maybe," I said not totally convinced.

"I'm really sorry man, I didn't know you had your eye on her." He genuinely seemed sorry.

"Neither did I," Was all I could respond, "I'll be back."

I hadn't gone out drink to just drink in a long time. I had no intention of getting girls. I just needed to relax. There was too much going on.
