They Can't Stop Us From Our Freedom

“WOAH ANDY WHY IS YOUR GIRL FROM LAST NIGHT STILL HERE?!” CC yelled. “GET HER OUT OF HERE SHE WAS NASTY!”

“Um, what?” I said as I turned around.

“Oh…shit…we’re going to go now.” And CC and the rest of the band stormed out.

“Andy, what the fuck just happened? Why did CC say you had another girl here from last night? What the fuck is wrong with you?!” I asked when they were out of earshot.

“Windy I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have gotten mad at the fact that you were with Matty last night because yes, I was with another girl. I’ve had feelings for you since the day I met you on the street and I kept denying it so I went and slept with a random girl and then you kissed me and I regret it so much.”

“Go away Andy I can’t even trust you anymore.” And I stormed out the door crying and went to Vic’s bus, the only person who hasn’t straight up lied to my face.

“Hey darlin, what are you doing here? What’s wrong?” He said in his adorable voice.

“Can I say with you for the drive? Me and Andy are in a huge fight right now.”

“Uh, okay, yeah of course. How long do you think you’ll be here for?”

“Until Andy actually tells the truth.”

“Why, what happened?”

“He got mad at me for getting roofied and being irresponsible last night and then we finally made up and I kissed him which took everything I had because I’m really not ready for a relationship and I don’t want to get hurt, but too fucking late for that because then, the rest of the band walked in and asked why he still had ‘the girl from last night’ in his room and you can see how it went from there…” I said choking back the tears.

“Yeah, I guess you can stay with us for now but you’re going to have to go back tonight.”

“Shit.” I got a text from Andy right when I said that, it read: “Look Windy I’m sorry that I did that and didn’t tell you I swear I was going to but then you kissed me and I didn’t want you to know.”

I replied with: “Why wouldn’t you want me to know? I would have been fine with it if you had told me before everything happened. I put myself on the line there and this is how I get treated. I swear, everyone lies to me or leaves me, I just can’t win”

Andy: I know I realize that now please come back.

Me: I’m going to stay with Vic for the drive, I’ll be back tonight.

Andy: No, I want you back now.

Me: No

Andy: I promised I would take care of you and I intend to do so, so come back before I come and get you.

Me: Fine but I’m not talking to you.

“Ugh, Vic, it looks like Andy’s pissed and worried. I need to go back now. Can you walk me over?”

“Yeah sure.”

The walk was long and silent. It seemed like everything that needed to be said was already said. I should’ve stayed with Lindley back at home. It was my first summer without her and I had a feeling that it wasn’t going to be the best, even with all the bands I’d meet along the way. I couldn’t shake the feeling of that kiss. His soft lips, the way he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer as if he was trying to make it so that every curve and every crease fit together like a puzzle piece, it seemed so, surreal. No, I can’t. If I fall for him, I’m just going to get hurt, he’s already proved it to me.

“Alright we’re here,” Vic said and I was grateful that he cut my thoughts off or else who knows what else I would start daydreaming about.

“Thanks again. I just needed somewhere to escape to. It’s been a rough couple of weeks.”

“Yeah, I totally understand. And to be honest, I don’t really like Black Veil Brides. They’re so fake. But don’t tell Andy that. I’ll see you around?” Okay ew did he just diss my favorite band? Yeah no. PTV may have good music but there’s no way in hell I’m talking to him again.

I stormed into the bus and went straight to my bunk.

“Windy, come on we have to talk.”

“Hell no, I already told you I’m not talking to you.”

“Why not?”

“I don’t know. Why don’t we start with the fact that you yelled at me for sleeping with Matty when you did the exact same thing and mine wasn’t even my fault. Oh, and not to mention, you didn’t even tell me, I found out from CC who unintentionally told me. And then, you don’t even let me stay with someone who is actually nice to me and isn’t a fucking hypocrite.”

“Windy I was jealous please don’t do this. I need you. I, I love you.”

“Go away Andy I don’t want your bullshit to get me to talk to you.”

“It isn’t bullshit, I actually do love you.”

“I said go away.” And I slammed the curtains shut.

I went on tumblr for the rest of the night and fell asleep at around 2. By then, we had arrived at the next city.
