They Can't Stop Us From Our Freedom

“WINDY HURRY WE NEED TO LEAVE!” Andy yelled from down the hall. It was finally here I had been waiting an entire week. My first Warped Tour, and it’s not even just going to be one show, it’s going to be an entire fucking summer. Plus, I get to spend it with my favorite band. But neither Lindley nor Sammi will be going leaving me the only girl, minus all of Ashley’s one night stands.

“I’M COMING CALM DOWN.”

“Have fun, me and Sammi will visit you guys soon but I expect a call every night and I expect one immediately if something happens between you and you know who,” Lindley nudged me. She was so excited that me and Andy were sharing a bunk, I wasn't though. This past week with him in the bed has bee hell. He snores so bad and always kicks me. I've never had to share a bed so it's a different experience.

“Oh shut up,” we said our last goodbyes and our escort drove us to where all the bands were meeting up.

“Oh my God, Andy, THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE!” I said when we drove up.

“Well yeah 200 plus bands is kind of a lot.”

“And, and, and they’re like all people I’ve idolized for so long I can’t believe I’m going to meet them!”

“Well, start believing it because it’s happening.”

“HEY ANDY WHAT’S UP DUDE? WHO’S THIS CHICK?” Vic Fuentes yelled running over to Andy with Cody Carson from Set It Off.

“This is Windy, I was thinking of making her our merch girl, she’s a friend of the band.”

“Holy. Fucking. Shit.” I said.

“What?” Cody asked.

“You’re Cody and you’re Vic and oh my fucking god are you serious right now holy shit I cannot believe I’m meeting these guys.”

“Well believe it,” Vic said, “You’ll have to deal with us allllll summer.”

“And trust me after a couple weeks you’ll be sick of us, trust me.” Andy said.

“Doubtful, I’ve waited years for this…well not this exactly, but you know meeting my idols in general.” I said back.

“Have fun guys, and remember, always use protection we do not need ANY pregnancies.” Cody said before running off to greet someone else.

“How many times has that been?!” he said when they left.

“I’ve lost count…geez people and their observations…however true that probably is­—“ Andy cut me off as Ashley came running over.

“We’ll talk about this later.” He whispered.

Oh shit what’d I do…? I just meant because we'll be in the same bunk and stuff. Oh god.

“DUDES WE NEED TO GET IN THE BUS NOW. COME ON.” Ashley yelled at us.

“Fuck…well we’re off to the first city I guess hahah that came fast.” Andy said shyly.

I really wanted to ask him what was up but I was pretty jostled myself. I can’t believe I just said that. It’s like…like word vomit…it just kind of came out. I hope I didn’t creep him out.

“Yup…” I said awkwardly and we walked in silence all the way back to the bus.

*Andy’s POV*

“I’ve lost count…geez people and their observations…however true that probably is—“ then I cut her off before she could finish and then Ashley came running over.

“We’ll talk about this later.” I muttered quietly.What did she mean? There’s no way she couldalready be thinking about that so soon after her brother. I know she's just been putting up a front to look tough but I don’t know her that well enough to come to a conclusion. What if she really feels like that? Maybe she wasn't telling the truth of what happened to her and her brother. What if she's still an attention seeker and hasn't grown out of her immaturity?

“DUDES WE NEED TO GET IN THE BUS NOW. COME ON.” Ashley yelled at us.

“Fuck…well we’re off to the first city I guess hahah that came fast.” I said awkwardly since I was still a little shaken.

“Yup…” she replied shyly.

*Windy’s POV*

The bus ride was pretty quiet. Nothing really happened between me and Andy. He looked sort of dazed. Jake and CC were playing something on the xbox I didn’t recognize it but then again Lindley was the video game nerd of our friendship. I tried to play Call of Duty but seriously there are too many triggers and sticks and buttons with letters and its weird. Maybe I’ll reattempt to learn from the guys. I don’t even know what Ashley was doing. Andy kind of just sat there watching everything happen.

We finally arrived at the first city at around 8 pm.

“Hey Windy do you want to come out and hang with everyone? Maybe meet some more people.” Andy asked.

“Nah, I think I’m just gonna get some rest maybe call up Lindley and see how she’s doing.” I didn't really feel like confronting Andy tonight. I fucked up.

“Are you sure? It’s the first night everyone comes out this is the only shot you’re gonna get to see every single band member. Plus, free alcohol how can you pass that up?”

“I’m underage, remember?" Stupid excuse. We've already gone out. Word vomit just keeps happening.

“But we went to that bar already.”

"Oh yeah haha," I said awkwardly, "yeah I guess I'll come but let me call Lindley first."

I straightened my hair and put on a red, studded skull shirt with ripped black jeans and My Chemical Romance shoes and then called Lindley up. I felt kind of awkward talking to her with Andy sitting right in front of me but whatever.

“Hello?” Lindley answered the phone.

“Hey it’s Windy.”

“Oh awkward, it didn’t show your name.”

“Weird…”

“Whatever so how is it?! Have you met anyone yet?!?!?” she practically yelled into the phone. I could totally tell Andy heard that because he started cracking up. I kicked him.

“Yes! Oh my god I met Cody and Vic. Holy shit they’re better in person.”

“Ugh, I’m so jealous, but you know homesickness and stuff.”

“Yeah I know…I’m about to go meet some more people can I talk to you later?”

“Yeah sure I’m not going anywhere.”

“Alright I’ll call you in a couple hours sound good?”

“Yup okay have fun I want to know EVERYTHING.”

“Okay, okay I’ll talk to you later byee bitch.”

“Bye hoe ily”

“You guys are such girls…let’s go.” Andy said after I hung up.
