Intoxication
I woke up laying on the couch by myself. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. I looked around. All the lights were off on the tour bus.
"Andy," I muttered. I got off the couch and went to his bunk. Nobody was in any of their bunks. "Andy!" I yelled. No answer. I walked to the small end table and got my phone out. It was 6:23 AM. I dialed Andy's number, but then saw a piece of paper on the window. I hung up the phone and picked up the paper.
It read:
Allie, we went to go get some things before we start to leave for Vegas. We'll be back soon. Love you. - Andy.
He forgot, I thought. I sat on the couch and cried until they got back.
"Hey, sweetie." Andy said as he walked in, putting a Kay Jewelers bag on the end table. The others came in with Wal-Mart grocery bags. Andy noticed me crying. He sat next to me and pulled me to him. He kissed my forehead and asked, "What's wrong?" I lifted up off of his chest and looked him in the eyes. I wiped my eyes with my sleeve before I started talking.
"You forgot." I said, choking back tears. He shook his head.
"No, I didn't. How could I forget your birthday was today? I got you something." He said. He got up and pulled a slim, horizontal velvet box out of the Kay Jewelers bag. He sat next to me again. The guys were sitting across from us on the other couch. He handed me the box and I opened it. I gasped and looked at Andy as he smiled at me. Inside was a black diamond tennis bracelet. I took it out and attempted to put it on by myself.
"Here." Andy said as he put the bracelet on my left wrist. I kissed him softly.
"Thank you, Andy." I said and kept looking at it. It was beautiful. CC went back to his bunk and brought out a red gift bag. He handed it to me. I took the black tissue paper out of the bag, and inside were 4 BVB shirts, a BVB dogtag necklace, a BVB guitar pick, and a BVB wristband. I smiled.
"That's from all of us." CC said. I thanked everyone. "Happy 21st birthday!" Everyone said in unison.
"Now, you know you gotta go to the casinos with us in Vegas tonight, right?" CC asked. I laughed.
"Hell yea. I can't wait." I said. "Oh, and do I still get to open for you guys tonight?" I asked them.
"Of course. I can't wait to see you on stage tonight, baby." Andy said to me and I smiled.
At about 12:20 PM, we arrived in Las Vegas. We checked into the hotel we were staying at and unpacked our luggage. Andy and I got one room to ourselves, CC and Jinxx got one, then Jake and Ashley had one. We went out to eat at about 5 pm, then drove on to the arena we were going to play at.
I wore a slim black lace short-to-long dress that only had one sleeve, my bracelet Andy gave me, and black high heels. Just before I was about to go on stage, Andy kissed me and wished me good luck.
I walked out on stage and everyone started cheering. I walked in front of the microphone. The guitarist played the intro to Daddy's Falling Angel by In This Moment. I screamed how the song is supposed to be performed, and I got a ton of cheers from the audience as I performed the 'screamo' song.
After I covered Stupify by Disturbed, I said, "This next song is dedicated to Andy. He's been there for me through all the years I've known him, and I love him to death." I walked to the grand piano and began to play the piano chords to Good Enough by Evanescence and sang the whole song. After the Evanescence song, I covered If I Was Your Vampire by Marilyn Manson, Bittersweet Memories by BFMV, and Face To Face by Sevendust. I couldn't believe how much the crowd enjoyed my performance.
I walked backstage and Andy kissed me and congratulated me. The guys admired my performance, and I stood backstage to watch them perform. Andy told the crowd that it was my birthday and they cheered more. I heard scattered birthday wishes from the crowd.
I was sitting backstage and I heard Jinxx yelling in excitement. "We are so damn excited to party with you tonight!! It'll be fucking awesome, trust me." He said.
"Come on! You're gonna try some whiskey, Allie!" CC said as he pulled me to the bar of the casino. I laughed and the guys were following us. "8 shots of whiskey." CC told the bartender. CC handed me the first two shots and I drank them both. They drank their shots, then Andy got me a pint of beer. I took a sip and started drinking more. "Chug! Chug! Chug!" Ashley started saying. CC, Jinxx, Andy, and Jake joined in. I laughed and started gulping it down. After I drank it all, I put the glass on the bar and wiped my mouth. We all laughed because I drank it so fast.
We were playings craps, and Andy won. I took Andy's hand and ran over to the slots machines. I put a $5 bill in the machine and pulled the lever. Two cherries. I pulled it again and got three 7s. Andy cheered and kissed me. I took the money from the machine. We all went over to the pool table, and played for a while. I won the pool game.
After we got back to the hotel, I took a tylenol for my headache. I cuddled on the bed with Andy and watched TV with him. He fell asleep and I smiled as I watched him sleep. I stroked his hair and eventually went to sleep as well.
