Unbroken
It Was Never Over
"God, you're beautiful" Andy whispered to me at the altar. I smiled at him, trying not to let my tears fall. I was in my wedding dress, holding a mixture of red and white flowers. My long hair was up in an Amy Lee styled bun with my veil tucked in the bottom of the bun. I had a little bit of eyeshadow on, just enough to be noticed, a thin line of eyeliner, mascara, matte dark red lipstick, and a little blush. Andy was wearing a regular black tux, his right ring finger painted red as always.
"You may kiss the bride," the priest said. Andy pulled me to him, wrapped his arms around my waist, and kissed me on the lips, long and slow. We heard cheers and claps, some "aws." I smiled into the kiss.
"I love you, baby." Andy whispered in my ear as we were slow dancing to Missing by Evanescence. I buried my face in his neck, kissing him on the neck. He smiled and kissed me on the head. I kept softly kissing his neck as we slow dance. He pulled me closer, my entire body against his. I looked up at him.
"Andy," I said softly. He looked down at me, his blue eyes bright. "When we broke up in high school, I would've died to know you loved me as much as you really do." I said. He smiled and kissed my forehead.
"I've always loved you. I'll never stop loving you." He responded.
"I really thought it was over between us, though." I said.
"It wasn't over. It was never over for me."
