Unbroken
Not A Moment Too Soon
"I'm a soon-to-be Biersack, everyone." I tweeted a picture of my engagement ring. I was about to go see Andy's parents for the first time in about 4 years. Andy was driving and I was in the passenger's side with my feet on the dashboard. I looked over at Andy.
"My nickname for you is gonna be Fallen Angel now." I said. He chuckled and took my left hand in his right hand. I smiled.
"I'm your fallen angel, then, baby." He said to me. I smiled again and raised his right hand to my lips. I kissed it softly and he smiled.
Andy knocked on the door of his parents' house. I saw Amy, his mother, answer the door. She smiled and hugged Andy, then hugged me.
"Gosh, you've changed Allie!" She said. I smiled and nodded as Andy wrapped his arm around me. Amy moved aside to let us inside. Andy's dad, Chris, came to us and gave us both a hug at the same time.
"It's nice seeing you again, Allie," Chris said, smiling. He looked at Andy and said, "You've got good taste in women, that's for sure, son." I laughed a little and Andy smiled, looking down at me.
"Have you figured out a date?" Amy asked us while we drank coffee. I shook my head.
"No ma'am. Not yet." I said.
"Well, when you want to, we can go look for you a dress, hon." Amy said to me. I smiled a little and looked up at her.
"That'd be nice. My mom, of course, won't want to since she's never approved of Andy, which I don't see why she doesn't. He's amazing." I said, looking over at Andy. He looked back at me and kissed me. I heard Amy mutter to Chris, "They're so cute together."
A few weeks later, Amy, Natalie, Sammi, Ella, and I went out to find a dress. We went to a bridal shop downtown. I spent hours trying on dresses.
"It's this one. Definitely this one," I said, looking in the mirror. I had on a very form-fitting, white lace dress with a long train. It had little strings of pearls coming from the mid-forearm sleeves, and a very intricate Edwardian era style design with rhinestones all over it. It wasn't flashy or anything like that, but it was elegant and vintage. I loved it. The girls all loved it. I chose a long, knee length white veil to go along with it. I chose black chiffon bridesmaid dresses with cinched waists.
We spent a while planning the wedding. Chris would give me away, Sammi, Ella, and Natalie would be my maids of honor, and Ashley would be Andy's man of honor. I chose my bouquet, we chose our cake, venue, etc. The date would be on Christmas Eve, and our honeymoon would be in Switzerland.
"One more month, baby." Andy said. I smiled and kissed him.
"I know, I can't wait, my fallen angel. This will be the best day of our lives."
