Night Watch I: Eliza, Ward of Andrew

*Andrew’s POV*

Given the incredible tension between the two of them, I couldn’t believe they hadn’t attracted an audience. I had no idea what the fuck was going on, but I knew I’d best pay very close attention. Eliza straightened herself, and then… spoke gibberish at Jinxx. In a very somber manner. What was going on? After a moment, and looking very surprised, Jinxx haltingly replied, also with a bunch of garbage. Eliza nodded, after which Jinxx slowly approached. It had sounded like they were mostly asking each other questions…

I watched as they stood, facing each other, about two feet apart. They were both making horrible faces, as though they were in pain, or trying not to be sick. Eliza said a bit more in what had to be some weird language, I noticed her version was rougher than Jinxx’s. Jinxx seemed to agree, and said, uh, something, in response. Eliza looked very impressed, though still grimacing, I guess that was good? They looked at each other for a bit, and I honestly had no idea what to make of it. They had one more brief exchange, where Jinxx motioned between the two of them, causing me a brief flash of jealousy, before quickly clasping hands, both bowing their heads, and then Jinxx speed-walked away at a fast clip. I was about to ask Eliza what had just happened when she ran behind a bush and vomited. What the fuck? Was that Jinxx I heard upchucking up the path?
