I looked at Jinxx then glared at Andy. “I’ll be right back.” I took my phone and key out of my pocket and set it down on the ground.

“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!” I screamed and ran furiously toward Andy. I didn’t stop running until I had him pinned on the ground, his shirt bunched up in my hand.

He laid laughing and staring into the sky as I pinned his chest down. “We’re trapped.” He laughed. “We’re all fucked.”

“What did you do to Jinxx?” I said angrily.

“We’re never going to leave.” He laughed. “The fence got him.” He laughed more. “The fence.” He repeated.

I closed my eyes and yelled, “WHAT DID YOU DO?!”

“We were trying to escape.” He said, catching his breath. “There’s some kind of electric fence over there and if you cross the red line, you die.” I looked at the red laser pointing across the street and saw my phone lying just beyond it.

I ran back to Jinxx and threw his arm around my shoulder, hoisting him up to his feet clumsily and walking him a few steps back across the line before he fell to his knees gasping again. He looked up at me from the ground.

I sat down next to him and looked around at Jake, Ashley and Andy lying on the ground.

Jinxx lay down on his back and looked up at the sky, I lay next to him and did the same, feeling my heart slow down. “It’s been a long night.” I sighed.

He smiled raising a fist in the air, his knuckles still bloody. “See you in a few minutes.” He said between struggled breaths.

“Next time we’re throwing chairs at this fence thing.” I said. We laughed.

When he stopped laughing I shut my eyes tight and waited for my turn, not wanting to see anymore carnage.

“Hey CC!” Andy yelled.

My eyes opened and my body jolted awake.

“You’re a dick!” He added. It made me laugh, I was still laughing when my eyes closed.

When my eyes opened everything was blurry. I couldn’t figure out where I was.
