The Violinst

I get to the venue and nervously approach the ticket window. I say to the girl working, "Hi. I'm Elise Ravenhurst. Jinxx is expecting me." She replies, "Ahhhh yes. Here is your pass Miss Ravenhurst, have a goodnight.' I reply, "You too", and head backstage to find Jinxx. There were so many hallways I felt like I was in a maze. I stop a man walking past me and ask, 'Have you seen Jinxx anywhere?' He asks, 'What's your name?" I reply, "Elise Ravenhurst." A look of realization crosses his face as he says, "So you're the famous violinist he's been talking about. I'm Jon their tour manager." He leads me to the dressing room and opens the door saying, "Jinxx there's someone here to see you." When Jinxx sees me he says, "Elise you made it." and embraces me in a brief but friendly hug. I say, "Of course. There was no way I was missing this." Jinxx smiles and says, "I'm really glad you're here." Then the door opened and I am met by 12 pairs of eyes starring at me.

A group of four guys and two girls were standing there. Jinxx says, "Guys, girls this is Elise. Elise these are my band mates and their girls." I reply, "It's nice to meet you." A tall one with blue eyes says, "You too. I'm Andy." The girl next to him says, "I'm Juliet Andy's girlfriend." Another tall guy with brown eyes bear hugs me saying, "I'm so happy to meet you!!!!!!!! I'm CC!!!!!!!!!" One with his arm around a brunette says, 'Don't mind him he gets hyper around new people. I'm Jake by the way." The brunette replies, "I'm Ella Jake's fiancee'. Jinxx has been raving about you." I look over and I swear I saw Jinxx blushing. Lastly onw with an Outlaw tattoo across his stomach says, "Hey there sweet thing. I'm Ashley." He's good looking but, NOT my type and a total player.

Jinxx's P.O.V.

I think Elise meeting them went really well. Juliet says, "Maybe while we wait Elise can play something for us." She replies, "I don't know the show will be stating soon. I don't think we have time-" I cut her off saying, "Sure we do. You can use my violin." She says, "Okay just one piece." CC claps excitedly saying, "Yay!!!!!!!!!!!" He's such a kid sometimes. Elise then begins to play Transcription by Bach one of my favorite pieces. When she finished all the guys, Juliet and Ella applauded. Ella says, "That was unbelievable." I reply, "I told you guys she was talented." Andy adds in, "Talented is an understatement she's fucking gifted." She says, "Thanks guys it means a lot to hear that, really." Juliet asks, "What are you doing after the show?" Jake says, "Yeah you should come out with us." Elise says, "Sorry guys I have to prepare for a show in a few days. Maybe next time." Jon comes in and says, "It's time guys." Then we were taking the stage while the girls stood on the side. I was opening with Overture and was beyond excited for Elise to hear me play.

Elise's P.O.V.

Jinxx's band mates and the girls are really nice. I'm glad to have met them. My eyes were on Jinxx as he grabbed his violin and played one of the most beautiful pieces I've heard. He's quite the accomplished violinist himself. I ask Juliet, "What was that piece called?" She replies, 'That was Overture." I say, 'It was absolutely beautiful." Ella says, "Now I see why you and Jinxx get along so well." As the guys performed I thought to myself, 'They're even better live.' The way their energy on stage affected the crowd was insane. Before I knew it the show was over.

The guys came back and Jinxx asks, "What did you think?" I reply, "You guys are really awesome." He asks, "69 Eyes awesome?" I reply, "Sorry Jinxx." He puts his hand over his heart saying, "Ouch that hurt." I say, "It's just that their music has gotten me through a lot and I've only just found you guys." Jinxx says, "Elise it's okay. I understand." Ash says, "Enough of this. Let's go get wasted." They all start to head out but, Jake turns back and asks, 'Are you coming Jinxx?" He replies, "Actually I think I'll walk Elise home." Jake says, "Alright man." Then Jinxx and I head out. As we walk Jinxx asks, "What did you think of my violin skills?" I reply, "You play wonderfully Jinxx. I mean it." He says, "Thanks but, I'm still not as good as you." I ask, "How long have you been playing?" He replies, "Since I was five." I say, "We started around the same age. I also play the piano." Jinxx says, "No way me too. It's great that we have so much in common." Soon we arrive at my house and Jinxx says, "I'm really glad you came to the show tonight." I reply, "Me too. I had fun." He hugs me again saying, "Goodnight Elise." I reply, "Goodnight Jinxx." and went inside. Little did I know my whole world was about to change.
