Chapter Thirty-One: Weapon's Demonstration

Vixen closed and locked the door to the basement before she walked down the steps and grinned. "YOU CAN FIGHT!!" She told Ravyn who was grinning from ear to ear. "So I heard," she giggled. "This is awesome! I knew Jarreth would come in handy one of these days! She giggled again and then laughed loudly when they heard Jarreth yell from behind the door, "I heard that Rave!" Everyone in the room chuckled before they heard Jarreth knock on the basement door. "May I enter your lair Vixen?" He asked, making Vixen giggle harder. She used her magic to unbolt the dead bolt on her door and open it. Jarreth peeked his head inside the room and smirked. "Is that a yes?" He asked. Vixen giggled and nodded. Jarreth made his way down the stairs and came to stand beside Ravyn and Angel who held Ravyn against him, back to chest.

"So what's so big about this place that everyone is down here?" He asked before realizing the size of the basement as well as the two doors, one open, one shut and apparently locked, that were on the right side of the basement. "How big is this place?" He asked, sidetracked. Vixen smirked. "It wasn't as big as this when we bought the place but I used a smidge of magic to make it bigger and to make my own little bat cave of a room over there," she pointed to the shut and locked bedroom door. "And then later made a room for Kitty and Ashley when they got here," she added, pointing at the other, open door. Jarreth nodded. "Impressive," he said as he took in the small room area that was blocked off by four walls, the door open to show the two black leather couches, black leather recliner, and small TV with a PS2 and Xbox 360 on the shelf the TV was placed upon that made up the small den like area. He saw there was an array of games next to and under the game systems on its second shelf. He then noticed at the half way point of the basement, there was a long, black metal table that spanned from one end of the basement to the other, only leaving enough room at both ends for the size of one person to fit through to get on the other side of the table. The table itself had sheet rock grey slats that joined the table at spaced out intervals- twelve to thirteen in total- and at the very end of the basement were all types of targeting objects, ranging from regular paper targets with the outline of a human head and torso on it with a bulls-eye set of rings around it, to a full set of regular archery like bulls-eyes. Two doors were off to the side on the right, leading to God only knew where and what may have been inside of them. All in all, the whole place looked like a fully loaded gun range. Which also explained the two black metal cabinets with their doors open, that showed and array of different types of guns, swords, and throwing knives and stars. There was also a mahogany bureau style dresser in between the two gun and knives cabinets, which its doors were closed and locked up tight.

Jarreth looked back at Vixen once he was done with his assessment of the basement. "Again, I have to say, Impressive. Very Impressive in fact. This is quite a bit of magic for just a smidge. I mean you even have a fully stalked gun range!" Vixen grinned and nodded. "The two doors at the other side of it hold a closet with the different targets, and the other is a walk in freezer that holds full bodied pigs that I also use as targets," Ravyn scrunched up her nose at the mention of dead pigs in a freezer. "Why do you have a bunch of dead pigs and where the hell do you get them all from?" She asked, curious and grossed out at the same time. Vixen smirked at her. "I get them from a local butcher downtown and the reason I have them is for my baby," she replied, going over to the mahogany dresser and using a key that was hanging from her neck to unlock the doors and open them. Inside was Vixen's custom created bow and a set of quivers, each one holding a different set of arrows that were colour coded by the feathers. Angel and Dragon whistled as they saw the bow. "She's a beauty," Dragon commented as Vixen suited up with arm guards and took one of each arrow and placed it in one of the two empty quivers she had. She walked back over to the group and showed them all her bow. Everyone but Andy, Kitty and Ashley gawked at the bow's intricate craftsmanship as she explained all the things the bow could do.

"Damn girl! This is the most awesome bow I've ever seen! I'm kind of jealous now!" Ravyn said as she ran her hand over the metal of the bow. There were intricately designed carvings of wolves running up and down both sides of bow and each picture that was carved into it was delicately painted, the wolves all kinds of different colours, the backgrounds painted an array of colours, ranging from a light blue, to sky, to the colours of a sunset, to midnight with delicately placed silver dots that represented the stars, to the dark purple, blood red, oranges and yellows of the early morning sunrise. Every bit of the background colours blended together perfectly, reminding Ravyn of the tattoo she now wore up on her back and the way she had done the colours for the sky. "This is beautiful art work V," she whispered in awe, making Vixen smile. "Thanks Rave," she said. She let everyone pass around her bow before she was handed it back by Jarreth. "So what's with the arrows and their colours and shit?" He asked pointing to the quiver filled with the multi-coloured arrows. Vixen smiled and pulled one with a lime green set of feathers on it. "I'll show you," she said, nodding to Andy who left, passing through the opening to the gun range like table and going into one of the rooms at the other end of the basement. Kitty and Ashley followed close behind and within minutes they had both dead pigs and full human sized body casts made of gelatin, that had real pig organs and thin flexible plastic red and blue coloured tubing that made up veins and things, set up in all the right places where an actual human had theirs, the tubes connecting and melding with any organ they connected to like in the real human body. The targets were set up across the way from each of the table areas that you could shoot from, each one alternating from gelatin man, to pig, and back to gelatin man.

Vixen walked over to the farthest one, over by the small den-like room, and notched her arrow into her bow. She took aim and pulled back on the string, taking a moment to make sure her shot was lined up where she wanted it to be at, and then released the arrow. It flew down the range and stuck straight into the gelatin mannequin-man thing's liver, and everyone watched as Andy gave her a signal to stop shooting- not that she was going to shoot again with him there- and said, "Watch what happens to it once I pull out the arrow." Everyone watched in confusion and anticipation, wondering what was going to happen that they had to watch for.

Andy pulled out the arrow and Ravyn noticed that the head of the arrow was no longer there. She had noticed before that the arrow head on the arrow that Vixen had shot was a clear type of capsule, sharp and serrated looking around the arrow shaped capsule, making it look like a real arrow head. But she had caught sight that there was some kind of green liquid in the capsule itself. It made her wonder what the hell was inside the thing and why Vixen was smirking as she had notched it. She got her answer shortly after Andy had taken the arrow out. "Give it a second," Vixen said in a low voice as she hit a button that made the gelatin mannequin move on the rod it was set up on, the rod moving through a track in the floor till it was about a foot away from the table. She watched the gelatin mannequin. Everyone crowded around her and watched as well.

Everyone gasped in shock as they saw the green liquid Ravyn has seen in the arrow head suddenly spread, completely consuming the liver and traveling through the veins all the way, slowly, up into the brain. Once it reach the brain it quickly turned green like the liquid. Everyone looked at Vixen, waiting for an explanation. She smirked at their faces. "I call it 'The Lily of the Valley' Arrow. The little arrow head capsule you saw Ravyn," she looked at Ravyn who nodded. Vixen then pulled out another arrow with orange and yellow feathers on it and showed everyone the arrow head shaped capsule with orange and yellow coloured liquid in it. Honestly the liquid looked more like swirling colours of gas than actual liquid, but Ravyn didn't really know for sure. "The arrow had one just like this," Vixen continued. "And when it entered the gelatin's liver, the capsule immediately broke off. Hence why Andy," she pointed out Andy who waved his hand that was holding the now capsules arrow in it. "took the arrow out. Most of the time an enemy will take the arrow out, but when they DO, and they just about always do, the capsule dissolves in the body and the poisonous gluccosicides that was in the liquid, which is a poison extracted from the Lily of the Valley plant- Hence the arrows name- will travel slowly throughout the body, soon traveling faster and faster. It travels through the blood stream, poisoning every organ it comes into contact with till it reaches the brain. Each organ will shut down when the poison reaches it and when it reaches the brain and heart, the enemy, now turned victim, will have both a massive heart attack and seizure at the same time, effectively killing the enemy. BUT," Vixen added, holding up a finger. "They won't die quickly, as I said, it's slow. Just slow enough for me to get any information I may want out of them. And if I get the information out of them and I deem them harmless to human society, I give them this," Vixen went back over to the cabinet and pulled out a syringe filled with another type of green liquid, this one darker. "It's the only antidote currently known to save a person from the poison and with some magical additions from myself, it will completely reverse the effects of the poison and return them back to a semi-full health."

Everyone's jaws had practically hit the floor as Vixen explained the arrow's effects. "DAMN!" Ravyn, Angel, Dragon, Katerina, and Sorcha all said at the same time. Vixen smirked and nodded. "Wanna see what this little baby does?" She asked holding up the orange and yellow feathered arrow. Everyone nodded. Vixen smiled and moved over to the next terminal, where a pig sat, once more attatched to a rod that was on a track, just like gelatin man. She waited for Andy to move back to the other end of the basement, next to Ashley and Kitty, before she aimed her arrow and shot it. As soon as it hit the pig, it seemed to glow a bright yellow orange and they could smell the pigs flesh starting to cook. All of a sudden the pig burst into flames. Ashley came by with a fire extinguisher and hosed down the now charred and crispy pig. Everyone's eyes were wide as saucers as they stared at the charred pig. "What the fuck was THAT thing??" Dragon asked. Vixen smiled again. "I call it 'Sunlight=Night-Night'. Dorky I know, but I thought of this one when I was just a kid and still believed that Vampires burned and turned to ash if they went out into the sunlight. I uh, watched a little bit too much Buffy the Vampire Slayer when I was younger," she said, making everyone chuckle. "Oh to be so naive again," Jarreth commented, making everyone in the room agree. "Anyways," Vixen continued, beginning to explain the arrow. "This baby here, like the The Lily of the Valley arrow, has a capsule, like you saw earlier. This one though, when hitting its target, immediately breaks off and dissolves instantaneously, releasing a spell that releases a gas into the body, quickly flooding the blood system and, essentially, cooks your blood and organs. What I mean by this is that you pretty much internally combust." Everyone gawked again. Ravyn had a feeling they would be doing that a lot. "So this arrow just makes you internally combust?" Vixen nodded. "It's so quick because your body is pretty much being cooked as if you were sitting on the sun and a solar flare from it blasted you." Ravyn looked at the arrow impressed. "Handy," she commented making Vixen smile wider. "Innit though?" She asked rhetorically. Everyone chuckled and nodded.

Vixen went back to her quiver and pulled out a purple feathered arrow with one streak of blue in it. The capsule on that arrow was also purple but shined a bright purple blue inside of it. "What's that one?" Katerina asked. Vixen smiled and shook her head again. "Another Vampire based arrow that I designed after watching Underworld like five times. I call it the 'UV Ray' arrow. Not too inventive, but its kinda cool. It has liquid UV Ray light in the arrow heads capsule and does this when shot at a target," lightning fast, Vixen notched her bow, turned and didn't even aim, she just shot the arrow at the gelatin man, he arrow hitting it straight in the stomach. Immediately after it struck the gelatin man's whole body lit up from the inside, light blasting out of his eyes, nose, ears and mouth. After a moment the light receded into nothingness. Everyone chuckled. "Let me guess," Jarreth said, crossing his arms. "You once believed that Vampires could be killed by UV Rays?" Vixen nodded sheepishly. "I don't use this one much but when I do it does cause the enemy to have an epileptic seizure, so its still good for something other than just making pretty lights shine out of every orifice," everyone chuckled at that.

Vixen pulled out her next arrow and showed them all what it looked like. The shaft of the arrow was black just like the others, but the feathers were a beautiful silver colour with one streak of Emerald green on the right side. The capsule looked like it was filled with liquid silver. Ravyn, Katerina, and Sorcha all smirked when they caught sight of the green streak in the silver feathers. Then they noticed that there was a streak of dark, almost forest green mingling among the silver coloured liquid. "Really V?" They asked in unison. Vixen looked up at them confused. "What?" She asked. Ravyn and her sisters chuckled before Ravyn answered. "Slytherin colours? Really?" Vixen blushed and giggled. "I'm a Slytherin at heart so when I created this arrow, I just had to do the streak." She walked over to the dresser again and pulled out another syringe filled with a clear liquid. "This is the anti-venom that counteracts the Black Mamba venom that I put in this arrow, which I changed the colour to green just for fun, hence the green streak in the feathers. The venom has a spell connected to it, just like the liquid silver in the capsule that, should I choose to, I can make both the venom and silver slow down as it runs through the blood stream. I'll show you. Andy, babe?" Andy perked up at the sound of his name. "Yeah Babygirl?" Angel and Ravyn looked at each other and chuckled when they realized that Andy called Vixen the same thing Angel called Ravyn. Vixen glanced over at them and smiled. "Can you set me up another gelatin mannequin instead of the pig on this one? I need to have that this way they can see what happens with the silver." Andy nodded and headed for the storage closet. "You want the one's that have pigs blood in the vein tubing?" He asked, popping his head out from the room. Vixen nodded. "Yes please baby," she told him. Andy nodded and they could here him rummaging around in the room. "OW!" He yelped when they all heard a large crash from inside the room. Ashley went over to the door and poked his head inside. "You alright Bro?" He asked. Andy nodded. "I'm fine, just tripped over an archery target that fell or something. Come in here and help me with this body," he asked Ashley, who immediately obliged his friend.

A moment later, Ashley and Andy had removed the pig that was set up on the retractable rod and placed the gelatin man in its place. Ashley carried the pig back to the freezer room and tossed it inside, before coming back to stand next to Kitty in the corner. Andy patted the gelatin man's shoulder. "It was nice knowing you Ron," he said smirking. Vixen raised a brow at him. "Ron?" She asked, wondering why he had named her gelatin mannequin. Andy grinned. "Well, I know you hate Ron Weasley, and what better way for you to kill him- in a way- than using gelatin boy here and imagining that it's Weasle?" He asked, using the nickname Draco Malfoy had given Ron Weasley in the books. Vixen grinned. "Well I AM a Slytherin and it would be awesome to finally beat up a stupid, pompous, fame seeking Gryffindor." Ravyn burst out laughing at Vixen's apt description of Gryffindor's. Andy nodded at her. "Then by all means my love, have at old Weasley here," he said grinning before he too joined Kitty and Ashley in the corner. Vixen nodded at him and notched her arrow, taking aim. "Eat Slugs Weasley!" She said before she released the arrow, making Ravyn and her sisters burst out laughing once again. The arrow hit its target in the abdomen and the capsule started to dissolve. Vixen hit the button on the table to retracted the rod holding the gelatin man, who jerked and then came forward until it was a foot away from the table.

Everyone watched as the silver slowly began its decent into the blood stream, pushing all of the pigs blood out of the way as it took over its place in the veins. They saw the streak of green branch off whenever the silver made its way past an organ and they watched as the green Black Mamba venom pushed all the blood out of each organ and began to take its place, making each organ shrivel up like a raisin. "Wow," Katerina whispered. Vixen grinned as they watched the pigs blood push its way out of the gelatin man's eyes, nose, mouth and ears. "That's not the half of it. Watch this," she said and held out her hand, her fingers curled slightly into her palm. She spread her fingers out and they all watched as the silver and venom started moving faster and the blood the silver was pushing started pouring out of the gelatin man's orifices. Katerina's eyes widened. "Dude! That is SO awesome!" She exclaimed. Vixen nodded. "Now watch THIS," she said ans then made a fist and pulled her arm back towards her chest. The silver and venom all began to recede, the blood that had once been pouring out of the man's body, returning to its natural places. "Cool!"Katerina yelled, bouncing up and down. Vixen nodded again and then spread her arm and let her fingers uncurl from their fisted form, making the venom and silver move at the speed it had been when the capsule dissolved. Everyone watched as all the blood in the gelatin man's body was pushed out and the silver replaced it, while the venom moved through the organs and shriveled them all into nothing. "What do you call that one?" Katerina asked.

Vixen smirked. "I call it the 'Slytherin Silver Bullet', cause I have been told, by enemies I've let die with it, that the pain in the beginning is like getting hit with multiple bullets and the venom makes the pain even more excruciating. Especially when it reaches the lungs. It makes it hard for the enemy to breath."Ravyn smiled at the name. "Good name, but why don't you call it 'The Slytherin Death Eater', cause the venom is practically eating away at the organs and it looks like the silver is eating up the blood as it pushes it out." Vixen grinned at the new name. "'Slytherin Death Eater' it is then!" She exclaimed, laughing.

So I decided to split this chapter into two parts. Well, sort of. I started writing something out and then decided that it would be better as the starter for the next chapter so that is what I did lol. I hope you guys liked this chapter. I created Vixen's arrows a long while back when I was doing another story- not a fanfiction- with my old friend Elly Ghodsi (who's now no LONGER my friend after I found out she pretty much tried to redo our story all over and didn't ask me for ANY input on the changes she was making. Pretty much she stole the story that I had mostly written. She had maybe only written like three paragraphs out of the whole NINETEEN CHAPTERS that I had written myself. And while I has asked for her input or what she would like put in the story through that whole time, SHE did NOT when she decided to start the story over from the beginning and do it whatever way SHE liked).

ANYWAYS!!! Sorry about that lol. Anyways, like I said, I had created those arrows and Vixen's bow years ago but never got to really use them in a story till now so I hope you like them and what they do. I did the description of what Vixen's bow looked like off the top of my head really seeing as I just thought of having it like a regular compound bow in the beginning with special attributes that made it deadly to Supernaturals (like the fact that the metal base of the bow is ACTUALLY two double edged swords melded together and shit). I kind of like the way I did the bow now more than before. I got a real chance to let it shine here in the story while in the past chapters I really didn't get a chance to and stuff.

Anyways, I'm off to complete chapter Thirty-Two which is a sort of filler chapter but also a just for fun kind of thing. Includes smoking, drinking and a little spin the bottle lmao (and remember, because of the Supernatural genetics that Ravyn has, she is in fact allowed to drink and smoke and none of it will harm the twins). Just thought I'd add that last bit in case anyone forgot it and was like "Wtf is she doing?! She's gonna harm her babies and shit by doing that stuff!!" No. She won't. I wouldn't ever do do something like that when it comes to pregnancy and babies. Which is the EXACT reason why I made that little tidbit about the barriers around the babies. I didn't want to really change Ravyn's character just cause she was pregnant. She's really easy for me to write because I'm pretty much fully basing her character off myself and shit, only she stays with Angel all through high school and beyond, while Jonathan (my fiancee and the person Angel is based off of), and I lasted two and a half years together before we broke up, spent five years apart from one another, then got back together and are now engaged. Pretty much I'm writing myself and Jon as if we never broke up and what we're doing now was something we did throughout High School. Only Jon is a year and ten months older than me and he was a senior when I was a junior, while Ravyn and Angel are around the same age and in the same grade. Those are really the only differences between me and Jon's characters and our true selves. That and we're not vampires, werewolves, or shaper-shifters (don't I WISH! lmao).

Alright, I'm off to work on Chapter Thirty-Two!
