Chapter Seventeen: All You’re Fault Faith Wilson

Marilyn and Faith pulled into the garage and Faith cut the engine to her mustang. Marilyn had convinced Faith to go Hunting at a small park a couple miles from the cemetery, near a High School, where they found a nest of vampires just waiting. During their fight with the vampires Marilyn kept getting a strange feeling, a sort of bad vibe; as if something was trying to warn him that something was wrong about the situation he and Faith were dealing with. The vampires were too out in the open. They barely seemed to put up a fight. He couldn't put his finger on it but just felt as if these vampires were meant to be a distraction for something bigger. He just hadn't been able to figure out what.

Now, as he exited the mustang, quietly closing the door, the vibe grew stronger. Marilyn stood dead still there in the garage, his eyes closing, and his senses reaching out into the ether, trying to find what it was that was putting him so on edge.

His eyes snapped open and his body tensed as he felt the emotions of the people currently occupying Faith and Vixen's home washed over him. It was a mixture of rage, guilt, sorrow, vengeance, and bloodlust.

"Marilyn?" Faith asked, coming to stand in front of him, a concerned look on her beautiful features. "Is everything alright?" Marilyn shook his head. "No. Something's happened," he whispered, making his way quickly for the garage door. Faith followed close behind, pulling two silver knives from their sheaths attached to the belts on her thighs. While she may have been slightly confused at what Marilyn had said, she trusted the vampire, and if he said he was sensing that something was wrong, she believed him and readied herself for another possible battle.



Marilyn burst into the kitchen and the first thing to hit him was the blood. The smell of it was all over. He looked around and saw Andy's pack mates, battered and bloody, as well as Chris Cerulli and his pack, which didn’t look much better than Andy's pack. "Who the Hell are you?" Marilyn turned and caught Faith by her wrist before she went to throw one of her knives at Jake Pitts.

"Faith stop!" He hissed. "These men are a part of Biersack's pack. And my guess is that they have also become Vixen's allies now as well. Same would go for Cerulli over there thanks to Vixen's brother Devin," Marilyn jerked his head towards Chris, who was currently wrapping gauze around a wound on his friend Ricky's upper arm. Devin was currently nowhere to be seen but Manson sensed he was somewhere in the house.

Chris glared at Marilyn. "Nice to see you too Manson. Could have used you and Miss Notorious and Feared Hunter earlier tonight at the fucking Cemetery," he growled.

"Watch your tone boy," Marilyn hissed. Faith growled. "Where the fuck is Vixen? I'm going to tear her a new one for this!"

Everyone in the room froze and Marilyn's bad vibe feeling increased tenfold. He heard footsteps coming down the hall, accompanied by the clicking of heels and he prayed that those heels belonged to Vixen in that moment. His prayers remained unanswered though.

Andy entered the kitchen at that moment, his face emotionless but his blue eyes were turning dark with rage. He walked towards Faith and Marilyn released her, backing away from the wolf. He knew Faith could handle herself but this was a side of Andy he had never seen before. This was Andy in full Alpha mode. And this was an Alpha mode that had just had his mate taken or killed. Marilyn knew the signs. He'd seen it on other Alphas before and their power when they were in this stage was...terrifying, to say the least.

Andy walked right up to Faith and towered over her, power radiating from him. Faith didn't back down though and Marilyn almost Facepalmed himself at this. In doing this Faith was pretty much challenging Andy's alpha which, with the power that boy was giving off at the moment, was pretty much a death sentence for the Hunter. "Where's Vixen, Biersack?" Faith growled.

The whole room was deathly quiet as everyone watched the Hunter and the Alpha. They all knew a fight was imminent; they were just waiting to see who would strike first.

It was Andy.
Andy grabbed Faith by her throat in a lightning quick movement and slammed the Hunter up against the wall behind her hard enough to create a hole. Marilyn flinched. That was going to end in a concussion. Still he didn't interfere. "Where the Hell were you earlier?" Andy growled, his tone menacing. Faith grabbed a hold of Andy's wrist with both her hands, trying to pry his fingers from her throat as he dangled her inches off the ground. "We were Hunting at a park a couple miles away," Faith choked out, clawing at Andy's hand. Andy grabbed both of Faith's arms by her wrists and pinned them above her head before getting inches from her face. "She needed you there tonight. And you were at a PARK!"

"Andy," Marilyn's head snapped to the entryway as the feminine voice spoke. He knew that voice. But it couldn't...

Sure enough, the spit fire red and black haired vampire he knew as Ashley Costello walked out of the shadowy hallway and into the kitchen, her eyes sparking with the magical control of a pro. At that moment everything clicked for Marilyn. Ashley had a leash on Andy's Alpha power. Most likely at the boys request so he didn't kill his mate's mentor by accident.

"So they are mates?" Marilyn's eyes narrowed as he looked at Ashley, who hadn't taken her gaze off of Andy since she entered the room. She'd been practicing. He nodded towards her and spoke through the link the younger vampire had created. "As far as I could sense? Yes. As soon as I saw them together I felt the pull between them that only werewolf mates have. Ashley Purdy and Vixen's younger sibling, Kitty I believe her name is, also seem to have it. I can feel their pull even from here and their in the basement."
Ashley nodded, still not looking at him. "I figured. I noticed something was different about her in the cemetery tonight I just couldn't figure out what it was." Marilyn nodded and Ashley returned her attention to Andy. "Let her go Andy. This won’t help get Vixen back. I told you the plan."

Andy snarled at Ashley, his blue eyes sparking with rage. Faith whimpered, struggling to breathe, and that seemed to finally snap Andy out of his rage. He released Faith, who fell to the ground in a heap, coughing and sputtering, taking in huge gulps of air. Andy backed up a couple paces and looked at Marilyn. He nodded towards Faith as if telling the vampire to go and check on his woman. Marilyn didn't need any more coaxing.

He was beside Faith in seconds, checking her throat, which was already beginning to form a black and purple bruise in the shape of Andy's hand. Marilyn shook his head. "You shouldn't have challenged his Alpha love," he whispered to her as he brought her against him. Faith glared up at him but, for once, let herself take comfort in his arms while in the eyes of other's.
"What did you mean when you said 'get Vixen back' Costello?" Marilyn asked, confused. Everyone in the room, minus Faith and Marilyn, tensed once more. Marilyn had a feeling he had just asked the wrong question.

Andy was the one to answer, rage layering his voice on top of his alpha tone. "What she meant is that the Cemetery was a trap. A trap for Vixen and any other female that had been in that graveyard that was human," Andy turned his rage filled eyes on Faith then but Marilyn caught his thoughts, saw what had happened in the graveyard. He gasped in horror.

"Kuza was in that graveyard tonight Faith. He set a trap for Vixen and we walked right into it. And he took her. He almost killed all of us in the process and we hadn't even known where the fuck he was until it was too late and he was gone. And so was she. He covered his tracks and we have no way of finding her. She's gone. Maybe..." Andy paused, his voice becoming choked with emotion. "Maybe if you had been there for her, like a true mentor is supposed to, she would still be here. But you weren't. And she's not. I lost my only mate tonight...and it’s all your fault Faith Wilson."

P.S. Before I forget! I noticed today (11-10-15), that when I had uploaded pics and Bio's of new Characters that have now made appearances in the story (or I plan to mention/bring in later), that some of the characters I had put up before are now gone. My guess is that, brcause the bio's I wrote on some of the characters are so long, it ended up taking off some of the other characters to make room for the new ones or something. So what I'm going to do (hopefully soon as soon as I can borrow my mom's laptop again lol) is fix said problem. I'll re-add the old characters and make the Bio's a LOT shorter. By this I mean I'll probably just say their species and ages. But what I also plan to do is add a "chapter" (more of a Note really) that will give a bit of a more...in depth...look at each of the characters, this way you can know a bit about them, what they are, and a bit of history on them. I may add more of these from time to time with whatever new characters I might add but I'm not sure just yet. Now, I'm off to work on Chapter Eighteen where we'll get ro see what's going on with Kitty and Ghost (who if you haven't noticed yet, will be called by his real name by people like Vixen, Kitty, and even Manson). Also, when I wrote these I was still going by Vixen Biersack, but as you can see I've changed it to Kyrie Kerr now...I just hadn't switched it yet when I typed out these author's notes lmao. Anyways so (hopefully) from now on when I sign off on my author's notes I'll sign off as Kyrie but if I sign off as Vixen, you know its still me and I just screwed up and used my old ID haha.

Now...OFF TO WRITING CHAPTER EIGHTEEN!!! Haha. See ya on the other side my Dark Angel's! Blessed Be!
