sorry to interrupt. just wanted to make mention that i lost a very beloved pet completely unexpectedly today. i might update all of my stories less often than usual and might not respond to comments all the time for a while. i apologize. she was my daughter and means everything to me.

p.s. before anyone asks, just in case, i appreciate the thought, but i don't really want to talk about it. the very short version is that my very geriatric female sugar glider passed away after i found her minimally responsive when i woke up this morning, with no prior signs of illness. FYI: i do not, in general, recommend sugar gliders as a suitable pet for almost anyone, and almost never as a single pet. (long story and now is really not a good time.)

i can't recognize all the veterinary staff here who tried to help me save her, because that would be a terrible fucking idea. i doubt any of them would read this, and i wouldn't want them to know dr. so-and-so writes smutty fanfiction (career sepuku).

but i wanted to say, somewhere: thank you, to the people at my clinic and at (one of my mentor)'s' clinic who tried so hard to save my baby girl with me, or worked with me, helped me switch my appointments, talked to our clients, the staff at my mentor's clinic who let me run in back with a coding pet and treated me so respectfully and professionally. thank you so much to my mentor: you are one of my heroes in life, and i aspire to be half the veterinarian you are. i wish you would give me a job. haha. thank you to my boss for letting me take my baby home after she didn't make it instead of having to come back to work. thank you to a certain technician at my work, who put extra effort in trying to stabilize my little girl at our clinic before i made the trip to my mentor's clinic. thank you to my mentor's clinic for giving my little muffin such wonderful care for over a decade. thank you to my family for trying to be comforting.
