“Marry me.”

Did I hear right? Marriage? “W-What?”

I never dreamt that one day I’d suddenly be asked this question. I wanted to have a boyfriend who’d cherish me, love me, take care of me and then after some time we’d actually get engaged. But I didn’t want to get pregnant with a billionaire’s baby and let alone be a wife to him without love in the commitment.

“Are you fucking stupid?” I dryly laugh in disbelief. “I will not agree to a marriage with no love! Why did you even ask me that?!” I shouted. Juliet tried calming me down but I kept pushing her away lightly.

Andrew looked and sounded frustrated. He walked towards me in a steady pace. Once he reached me, he asked everyone to get out, not including me. Juliet knew something was going on so she immediately left without hesitation.

“The baby,” he said. “They want the baby. After I read the file I knew you weren’t lying and now I actually believe we have a child on the way. You don’t know how strong that people are. If you don’t want anything to happen to yourself and the baby, then agree on marrying me.”

Some unfamiliar feeling rushed through my veins. It was a good one though. I was happy to hear he cares about his baby. And me. Partly…

But I wasn’t going to say yes right away! Hell no! “I have some conditions and you’ll have to accept them and then I’ll marry you.” He nodded impatiently. “Firstly,” I start. “There will be no cheating in this marriage. Even if this will be a loveless relationship, you won’t cheat and so won’t I. Secondly, I meet your parents and you meet mine. If you have some close relatives, then I meet them too.” I know this was a very annoying speech but I wasn’t done with only two things.

“Thirdly, we will sleep in two different bedrooms once we’re married. And fourthly…” I inhale a deep breath as I was very scared to say what my fourth condition was.

“If anything happens to me and I am gone, you will love and take care of our child like it’s your first priority. Do we have a deal?” I finish. Andrew nodded and took out a ring out of his pocket. Did he knew he’d have to do this or was it Jinxx who had the feeling?

He took my hand in his and put the ring on my finger. “I broke it off with Veronica today because of a little incident and she gave me back the ring. It was my grandmother’s.”

The ring was very beautiful to be honest. I kept admiring it every second. I didn’t care about everything else but the baby at the moment. How it’d feel if he or she one day found out that its parents don’t love each other. I know I’ll fall for Andrew, but it will only be a one side love.

“We will marry after I finish with those people that are spying on you. It can take a very long time, but I promise we will have the ceremony before our child is born. I pick when, where and who can come to the wedding. You choose your bridesmaid,” he said. I nodded and walked out to my Juliet. “I’m engaged,” I hold the hand up for her to see.

“Bitch, you’re lucky. I know that your baby will be beautiful. And you will have a family, right?” she tries to make me smile. I nodded and remembered of school. “I’ll have to drop out of school…” I whisper sadly. She gave me a tight hug.

Perhaps I shall continue schooling after I bring this child to the world. I think I’ll be able to manage. I’ll have to. What if one day we split up and I won’t have a job to support me and the child?

I hope that day will never come.
