The Billionaire...?

Chapter XIV: Since

Ian and I met up at college. I drove myself all the way to the big old building and ignored the stares I got from many people. Although students here are supposed to be adults, they’re still like their teenage ways. I felt a bit daring so I went straight inside and looked for Ian. I spotted him just in time before he went to the cafeteria.

“Hey, Paperclip!” I shout and his eyes dart towards me with a shiny smile on his face. “Hello, coconut! Ready to-Woah, you’ve gotten big,” he stopped and eyed me up and down, stopping at my stomach. “Yeah… two more months, or shall I say, nine more weeks at least. Due date is around the twentieth of June,” I smile.

Beth and Jess were running like little girls until they bumped into Ian, but it didn’t last long as Ethan and Samuel also joined in the fun. I haven’t seen those two since my birthday party. They were in Britain as “exchange students”, but they were actually working there, helping their grandfather. “Wow, Alison, you’ve really changed since we met,” Sam exclaimed, giving me a soft hug.

Jess made her way towards me, smiling like a little child as she bent down to my stomach and rubbed it slowly. “Hello there! Come out soon, will you?” she whispered. The others did somehow the same, except Ian. His blonde hair was covering his disappointed green eyes, but I couldn’t get the reason. “Wait, now I remember what I should’ve asked you so many months ago,” Beth exclaimed.

“What is it?” I ask. “Where were you married?” As soon as she said that, the boys were speechless. Nobody knew about marriage except Jessica and Beth. Ian was speechless and so were Sam and Ethan. “Y-You’re married? Since when? To who?” Ian managed to say.

I looked down awkwardly and put my hands on my growing baby. “I’m married to the baby’s father since about seven or eight months ago. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, it’s just for the baby. I don’t want her to grow up living in two separate houses with divorced parents…”

Only Ian wasn’t fond of my explanation, but I didn’t really care about it. Andrew actually made me marry him, but I still imagine myself alone with Melody.

All of us decided to catch up together so we went to the parking lot which had lots of benches where we could sit on. I told them I’ll be right behind them as I had to use the toilet and since it was lunch time, the halls were empty.

As soon as I stepped into the washroom, I was blindfolded and my screams were muffled by a cloth. That’s the last thing I remember before going into darkness.

I found it on YouTube the same day it went on Spotify (this app isn't available in my country) but the song got removed, probably because of copyright. It's on Andy's VEVO channel now :D
