Kissing the Concrete

Chapter 61: Still hopelessly in love

For a second I stood frozen. Then the tears came crawling back. I could barely believe my eyes, but I also knew it was all my fault. The break up was a huge mistake.

"Iris!" Andy suddenly said, standing up from the couch, quickly walking over to me and embracing me. I didn't even know what to do, and I stood still for a while, stiff as a board.

"Oh, it's THAT girl again..." Lexi said, obnoxiously chewing the gum in her mouth. Andy rolled his eyes.

"I've missed you." My arms wrapped around his neck as soon as the words reached my ears.

"I've missed you too. And I'm so sorry for what happened. Breaking up was a huge mistake."

"You're too late princess. You haven't told her yet, babe?" Lexi said. Andy looked up, turned his head and frowned.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"You know goddamn well what I'm talking about."

I was confused. Was this real? I wouldn't blame him if he would have hooked up with Lexi, considering that we were broken up at the time. If anything happened, it was my fault. But I was not going to lie about feeling sad over the fact that the love of my life might have been with another girl within a week of us breaking up.

"Should I leave?" I asked out of confusion. Andy nor Lexi seemed to listen as the fight continued to escalate, Andy letting go of me.

"Could you please just shut up, Lexi?"

"I'm not going to shut up until you admit that what we have is real. Remember the show? The one you played last week?"

"What happened at the show?" I asked.

"Nothing happened at the show. I honestly don't know what she's talking about." Andy said switching his attention to me. He kissed my forehead gently and I got a sense of being home in his arms. But chaos was still ensuing, all thanks to the girl with blue hair. I wanted to trust Andy, and so far I was almost convinced that she was nothing but a homewrecker.

"Well look at you, lying to the girl you claim to love. We met in the alley, remember? You know, where you tried to kiss me?" Lexi said, approaching Andy.

Could she be speaking the truth.

"Is this real?" I asked. Andy was furious, shaking his head.

"I didn't fucking try to kiss you! You were high as fuck and stumbled around!"

"You were feeling super low, everyone at the show could notice. And sparks flew between us, I could feel it!"

"You are so fucking delusional." Andy sighed. "We're not a thing, Lexi. We'll never become a thing! I love Iris, and that is how it is! Now get the fuck out of my house!"

"You can't escape the truth, Biersack. You know you still love me." Lexi said, as she walked out the door.

"Fucking homewrecker. I don't know what she's thinking." Andy mumbled under his breath. "I'm so glad you're here."

I reached up to kiss him in one explosive motion. I don't know what I was thinking with the break up. This was the one moment I had been long for during the entire time. I was still hopelessly in love with him.

"I want it to be us again.

Only a few chapters left until the story will end, though there might be a sequel at some point.
