Something Wicked This Way Comes

New Hand

Andy walked up to the huge ranch in front of him. Acres and acres of land all spread out across beautiful hills and terrain fit for any beautiful mere or stallion.

He ran a hand through his black hair, looking around for any inkling of movement. Hell, he got hired to work on the farm. Someone had to be here for his first day.

He walked up the paved driveway, his old black work boots clicking across the pavement. He sighed, feeling sweat start to rise on the back of his neck. Damn Rion was hot during the summer.

The middle of July was always the worst time to be outside in Mississippi. He cursed the sun beating down on his back.

The Rossins were the richest family in Rion with Evan Rossin owning most of the small town overrun with trailers, and double wides. Of course, there was a high society. In most towns there were, but the Rossins were at the top.

As he walked up to the first barn he saw, he heard a little rustling inside. "Hello?" He called out.
A decently young guy came into his view. He had tan skin, and callused hands. His eyes were a striking blue, almost as blue as Andy's.

"You the help?" He asked, spitting to the side. Andy was taken back but he knew that's all he was.

"Yes sir." He nodded.

"Alright, I'm Dan. I'm the Forman around here, and I'll be the one telling you what to do from here on out." Dan said, crossing his jean shirt glad arms.

"Yes sir." Andy repeated, remembering his mom and sisters warning to be respectful. Andy didn't have the greatest reputation around Rion, and it was a wonder how he even landed a job at the Rossin farm. He was grateful nonetheless.

"Okay. Well your first jobs going to be laying mulch. Got much experience?" Dan asked.

"I do." Andy said, thinking of the summer he spent on his grandpas farm.

"Good. I'll show you where everything is and then I'll let you get to it." Dan said, moving towards the other side of the barn. "Oh and one thing."

"Yes sir?" Andy raised his eyebrow.

"The boss, he's got two daughters. Don't mess with them. I've heard of your reputation, boy. We won't have none of that around here." Dan said. Andy stiffened a bit.

Elsie Rossin was one of the most mysterious girls in Rion. She's beautiful, but understated by many. Andy had always had a bit of a thing for her, but now he could never.

Allison Rossin was like a super model, every boy flocking to her door step. He couldn't help but admit he had an attraction to her too.

"Yes sir." He said, a little sadly.

"Follow me."

Elsie's head snapped up as she heard a loud bang come from outside. It was Saturday, who was awake this early?

She sat up, groggily and looked around her room. She stood up and padded over to the window of her huge bedroom. She looked out of it to see a boy underneath. He was spreading mulch and she rolled her eyes knowing that's what woke her up.

Elsie walked downstairs, seeing her father pouring himself a cup of coffee. "Hey dad." She said, stretching.

"Hey sweetheart." He smiled, walking over to the living room.

Evan Rossin was a young father, around the age of forty five. He came into his land and money from family and it's all he's ever known.

He had brown hair, with nice tan skin. His abs were toned, and his wife was no exception to the beauty.

Hallie Rossin was a super model of sorts around Rion. Her body, even after having three kids, was perfection.

"Who is the guy out there?" Elsie asked.

"Andy Biersack. I hired him for a little while. We need some help around here and I'm sure as hell not doing it." Evan chuckled.

Elsie's eyes widened at the mention of Andy Biersack. The town man whore working on her families ranch? Great.

"Oh." Elsie mumbled, pulling at the hem of her shirt.

"Is your brother awake?" He asked.

Carson Rossin was the last of the Rossin clan. He was the toughest, and most attractive of all of them. Every girl was after the blonde haired boy.

Along with Carson, Elsie had a sister named Allison. She was to crown jewel of Rion, absolutely stunning with her perfect blonde hair and tan skin.

"I don't know." Elsie shrugged. "I'm going to ride Riot." She said, running upstairs. She walked into her closet and grabbed a pair of jeans, and a tank. She pulled them on quickly and then laced up her boots before walking in the bathroom.

She put up her long brown and blonde hair in a messy bun. She added a little mascara to her blue eyes and brushed her teeth.

After Elsie finished getting ready she ran down and out of the house. She immediately bolted to the barn where her stallion was.

Riot, the beautiful, red horse was standing at the door to his stable. "Hey handsome." Elsie grinned, rubbing his nose. "Ready to ride?" He grunted in response and she smiled. She grabbed a saddle off the wall and put it on him.

She jumped on him and then went out the back of the stable. She kicked Riot into a full on gallop and she sighed happily as the wind blew through her hair.

Elsie rode through the trees, over creeks, all to feel the freedom riding a horse brought her. She was in complete and total bliss. Only nature and herself.

"Come on, Ri, let's hit it." She said, pulling on his reigns to make him go faster. He nayed happily as he raced back towards the stables. She noticed a black head of hair go in before her and felt her throat tighten. Maybe she should wait a while?

Her stomach grumbled in response to her thoughts so she sighed and continued into the stable. She quickly locked up Riot, seeing no signs of Andy, thankfully.

Just as she walked out she ran smack into the stomach of none other than Mr. Biersack himself. "Oh sorry." She muttered.

Andy chuckled, "It's fine."

She looked up to meet his gaze and was taken back by his beautiful, icy blue stare. "I- Uh- I'm Elsie." She said, extending her hand out. He shook it, hesitantly.

"Andy Biersack." He nodded.

"I'd be lying if I said I didn't know who you were." She blushed. He was attractive. Wow.

"And I'd be lying about the same thing." He said, eloquently. So well spoken..

"Guess we're in the same boat then." She chuckled, taking in his long black hair and tall frame.
He was beautiful, and she found her throat tightening.

"I guess so." He said, softly. They stared at each other for a moment until Elsie cleared her throat. "Uh, shouldn't you be working?"

He snapped at out of his gaze and nodded. "Yes." She chuckled as he grabbed the shovel off the ground and began to scoop horse shit out of the stall.

"So what possessed you to want to work here?" Elsie asked, leaning on the stall door.

"Well.." He said, wiping his forehead. "Your old man owns three quarters of the damn town. Not many choices."

Elsie chuckled. "You've got a point. So the ground rules Dan talked to you about..." Andy whipped his head around. "Yeah, he tells them to every farm hand. Don't worry."

"What about them?" Andy raised his dark eyebrow. She looked beautiful standing there, her hair jostled from the wind and her blue eyes looking wild. Andy was hypnotized by her.

"You don't have to follow them." She sat down on a bail of hay, and Andy felt his heart beat against his chest.

"I'm pretty sure I've got to listen to Dan." He said, his voice gruff.

"Yeah but the whole not talking to me.." She shook her head, "It's not like anything will come of it. I just, I could use a friend who didn't just like me because of my money." Elsie had no idea where this was coming from. Something about Andy just made her heart beat.

"I don't know if I'm a good candidate. Not cause of your money, but cause your dad would slit my throat." He chuckled. "Plus, you're seventeen."

"Nah, he wouldn't, and, I'm just-"

"Elsie, get away from the boy!" Dan said, running towards them. "I said she was off limits."

"I was talking to him, Dan. Don't get so freaked out." Elsie said, softly.

"Don't be messing with your fathers employees, Elsie. He ain't nothing but trash your father picked off the street and decided to take in as a charity case." Dan spit. Elsie opened her mouth to say something but she was cut off by Dan shoving her out of the building.

"What the hell!?" She screamed at him. "You can't talk to people that way!"

"Sure I can. I'm in charge of him, now get inside." Dan seethed. She shook her head and ran into the large ranch house. She collided with her brother and he laughed.

"What's wrong, Els?" He raised his eyebrow.

"Nothing, except Dan is a big asshole." She sighed, walking to the fridge.

"We already knew that." Carson chuckled. "What happened?"

"I was talking to the new guy and he got all pissy." Elsie shrugged.

"Yeah, but the new guy is Andy Biersack. Town delinquent, remember? He's just trying to look out for you." Carson said.

"You're probably right but the way he was talking to Andy.." Elsie shook her head. "It was like he was nothing. Trash."

"That's how a lot of people around here are." Carson frowned. "I'm sure Andy didn't take it personally so you shouldn't either."

"Whatever." Elsie said, pouring herself a glass of orange juice.

"Have a good ride?" Carson asked.

"Mhm." Elsie mumbled, her mouth full.

"Is there a particular reason you were talking to Biersack?" He chuckled.

"Just wanted to introduce myself." She smiled.

"Whatever, Elsie. He is bad news, can you not pick him to be your first real boyfriend?" He sighed, angrily.

"I'm not!" She exclaimed. He shot her a look. "Carson, I swear I'm not."

"Okay Els, just be careful. That guy is an ass." He said, shaking his head. Elsie shrugged and walked up the stairs to her room. She shut the door and plopped down on her bed with dreams of powerful blue eyes in her head.

@anathema
Awh, thank you! I'm definitely still here! I started school last week and it's my senior year so I haven't had a lot of time to post up a chapter. I've actually written about 37 chapters of this story already and ALL of the elements play a really important part in things that happen later on. So, there is a reason they didn't use a condom. There is a reason Haley sick. There is a reason Allison died and I'm really glad that you can see that ;)

I just came to beg you to update, and saw you had this really low rating- what on earth? Someone in particular must have not liked one element a lot. Don't let it get to you. I think your writing is superb. I know it irritates me every time I read a story where they don't use protection unless they specify the chick's on the pill and have a conversation, but frankly, this is fan fiction, and soi feel like it all depends on the context. In the case of this story, it fit the context pretty well and your writing is superior. If they did it continually without a rubber and then were surprised when she got pregnant, or if she gets pregnant just now, and they're surprised, I'd get irritated, but I don't think you'd write that, because you're a smart cookie. So people need to get over themselves. this story is awesome. Come back!
