Before You Knew Jinxx

The next day, I woke up late. It was 9:30 when I woke up. I was debating whether or not I should even go to school, since it would be like 11 by the time I was there. With me getting ready, and then finding a ride. Oh that’s right! I can’t go to school. Shaina took the car. Alone. If she gets arrested, I will not bail her out. She needs to learn. I wonder if Jeremy is at school today. Will he be looking for me? He probably forgot all about me. I wouldn’t be surprised. Nobody ever remembers me. I’m used to it, though. Oh well. Instead of getting ready for school, I decided to watch TV. I pulled out my laptop, and before I could even open it, I heard music. Where the hell was that music coming from? Nobody listens to music in my house. I mean, besides Shaina. She only listens to her music, and that is NOT music. I got up from bed, and opened my door. It was coming from Mom’s room. “The fuck?” I said out loud. I walked into her room, and there Mom was, lying down, listening to KISS. I was surprised. I mean, really surprised. Mom never listens to music. Especially GOOD music. “Uhm…Mom? What are you doing?” I asked her hesitantly. “What? What do you mean…..” Mom said in her “voice”. The one she has used since Dad died. The one where she really doesn’t care what is going on, or is being said. “You’re listening to KISS. Why?” I persisted. Mom didn’t answer. I knew she heard me, but she didn’t want to say anything. I turned around and left. “That was bull shit”. I said. I went back to my room and picked up my laptop again. I picked a random show, 13 going on 30, and tried to pay attention to it. I kept thinking about Jeremy though. I woke up at 3 pm. I had fallen asleep during the movie, and hadn’t realized it. “Shaina must be home now,” I thought. Sure enough, I heard her downstairs getting food from the fridge. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs, and prepared myself. “SARA! WHY DIDN’T YOU GO TO SCHOOL?” Shaina yelled. I still don’t understand why she has to yell. I mean, I am right in front of her. Doesn’t she know that? “Well for one, I didn’t wake up in time, and second, I HAD NO RIDE! But thanks for your concern. I appreciate it.” I told Shaina. “Well some weird guy was talking about you.” She mentioned. “What? What “weird” guy?” I was wondering….could it be him? “Oh he had black hair, he wasn’t the tallest, and he was very attractive. He came up to me, and asked me if I was your sister.” I never told him my last name…..how would he have found Shaina? “That doesn’t make sense.” I said. “I don’t know. You tell me. How did this guy know I am your sister?” She asked. “I don’t know! I never gave him my last name.” I told her. I was wondering if he guessed. Though my hair is black, and I wear tons more makeup than Shaina, we still have the same features. He probably guessed. “SOOO he wanted to know where you were today.” She continued. “What did you say to him?” I was getting anxious. He had talked to Shaina. Not the most fun of things to do. “I told him to fuck off, and how the hell should I know where you are.” She said. My jaw dropped. “SHAINA-MARIE!! WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT TO HIM?” I was furious. How dare she say that to him? “Relax! He will try again later. He didn’t care.” She tried to calm me down, which is weird, because she never has cared before.
