Graduation and college
Graduation: A.K.A. My 18th birthday
Life was the same as usual. Mom came to my graduation, which was a huge surprise. She didn’t congratulate me or anything, but at least she came. Not that it made a big difference. Shaina came, but couldn’t care less about me graduating. I got my diploma, and when I went home, I didn’t feel any different. I had a piece of paper, saying I graduated high school. Hey, I accomplished my goal. I am the first to graduate high school in my family. It had been over a year since Jeremy, and he was out of my mind. It was just a memory. Nothing more.
20th birthday: College
Today is my 20th birthday, and I have been in college for about a year now. I don’t really know what to study. I am taking my generals, but I have changed majors a bunch of times already. First it was Animal Science. Then it was Music, specifically voice. I then realized that I have a terrible voice, and that all of the girls in the music department are bitches, and they have opera voices. So I don’t know what I want to do with my life right now. I’ve gone on a few dates, but nothing serious. I lived with a few girls in the dorms last year, but that did not end well. They were preppy, annoying girls. I was getting teased again. I wasn’t going to put up with that. They acted like they were still in high school. I had been working as a cashier at the Walmart down the street, and so I had some extra money saved up. By the way, I have to pay for everything. Mom doesn’t support me at all. She gets welfare, and that’s it. Shaina had to get a job, because Mom doesn’t do anything. She found a new TV show though. Ghost Whisperer. I actually really like that show. Anyways. I live on my own now. I found an apartment off campus that is nice enough. I really like it. So I am 20, and life is alright. I haven’t had any boyfriends, which is just fine. I doubt I will get married, and if I ever do, it will be one of those marriages where it’s when I am 45, and I meet some guy online.
22nd birthday-In college still
I am 22 years old, and I am still in college. I transferred to LACM-Los Angeles College of Music. I am studying music, obviously. This time it isn’t voice. I am playing guitar. I love it. I should have done this a long time ago. I still don’t have anyone I can call mine, but that is fine. I’ve been playing in a lot of performances, and it’s really made me happy.
