Love or Infatuation

"So the whole time you knew, but didn't say anything?" I ask Kat as we get to my porch. We decided to talk more about all of this at my house.

"I couldn't, I wanted to so bad, but that would mean going against the orders." She says. We both take a seat on the steps.

"Who gives you orders?" I ask.

"My father."

"I see... Is my family like me?"

"No, you're adopted. Your mother casted a spell on Mrs Hunters. She transferred you to her stomach. So that's kinda being adopted I guess."

"Why didn't my mother want me? And where's my dad in all of this?" I ask as tears start to form in my eyes.

"They both wanted you more than ever, but there was this war going on between witches and vampires. This is why none of us wanted you anywhere near Andrew Biersack."

"But Andy's different from them, he's good. If he wanted to kill me, wouldn't he have already?"

"He killed them."

"What?"

"Andrew killed your parents."

In that moment, my heart stopped. I take the necklace off and stomp on it a thousand times. I kick the remains into the grass and just stare aimlessly around.

"Sammy, you need to fix things. You are going to become queen of all of us tonight, you need to take a stand, you need to kill Andy." Kat says. I look at her completely emotionless.

"Tell me how to kill him." I say in monotone.

"Take this." She pulls out an iron blade from her jacket. "Stab him right through the heart." I nod.

"You should go get an army. Won't the vampires be furious when they find out he's dead?" She smiles and nods. "Go on, get me the best in the country." And off she goes.

I run into the house and lock all the doors and windows. I run into the basement, take out my phone, and call Andy.

"Hey, I'm kinda in the middle of something." He says.

"Is it with Ashley?" I ask.

"Well yeah." He says.

"Tell him I want to see you guys immediately. That means you, Ash, CC, Jake, and Jinxx. Got it?"

"Why?"

"Because apparently I'm queen."

I hang up and run up to my bedroom. I change into a different outfit and open the door. I lean on the doorway and watch as the five walk up to the steps.

"Good afternoon gentlemen." I greet.

"May we come in beautiful?" Ashley asks and I smirk.

"No, if you weren't invited in before today, you're not getting in." I stand up straight and clear my throat. "Andy, who gave you orders to break up with me?"

"Ashley." Andy says firmly.

"Okay, go get some sort of birthday dinner started for me dear. Pretty please." I say.

"Anything for my princess." He kisses my cheek forming a frown on my lips, and walks into the house.

"Ashley, did he kill my real parents?" I ask.

"No, why would he?" Ash asks.

"Kat told me he did. Another question, why don't you want him with me?"

"Because, he doesn't deserve to be king." He replies.

"And who does?" I ask.

"Anyone of us, except him."

"Why not him?"

"He's completely irresponsible and will make your throne look foolish. He will drink dry every human in this town and he will want to turn you."

"Turn me into what?"

"The monster he is. His evil is much greater than ours combined." Jake comments.

"Did I ask to hear from you Jake?" I ask and he puts his head down. "Jinxx."

"Yes Sam." He says and I smile.

"You're my right hand vamp, you can go inside." He smiles and walks in. "I'll tell you what Ashley, I will make Jinxx my official adviser of you get the hell out of my life." I say.

"You'll regret today soon enough my grace." Ash says.

"Do Jake, CC, and me a favour and bite your tongue." And with that, I enter my house slamming the door.
