Love or Infatuation

I walk into the kitchen and take a seat on the counter. I glance over at Andy, he's making spaghetti. I look over at Jinxx, I can tell by his expression he's questioning a lot of things that are happening. I get my feet on the ground, take out the blade, and poke Andy's chest with it.

"What are you doing?" He asks.

"I want the honest to god truth." I say.

Andy looks down at my body. "Where's your necklace?"

"It broke, and don't change the subject." I say poking the blade at his chest again.

"Stop poking me with that thing! Jinxx can you please get the other necklace from the house? It's in my side table." He requests.

"Sure thing." Jinxx says and disappears.

"Now what do you wanna know Sam?" Andy asks turning off the stove.

"I want a history lesson, what happened to my parents?" I ask placing the blade on the counter.

"They died in the war, I couldn't save them in time." He says darkly.

"Which groups fought in this war?"

"Vampires versus Werewolves, your parents fought for the other side, but your parents and I had an understanding."

"Go on."

"Your family and me swore to protect each other from the monsters more evil than ourselves. That's why I'm looking out for, your birthday is tomorrow and that's when you'll get your powers. Your mother's last wish was for me to help strengthen your abilities."

"And I'm just supposed to trust you?"

"Jinxx, right on timing." I turn around and walk right into Jinxx, I return my attention back to Andy. "Sam, why do you think I'm so concerned about your necklace?" I shrug. "This necklace protects you from others abilities and makes you untraceable. I swore to protect you and I will."

"Okay if this is all true, why did Kat lie to me?" I ask.

"What species is she?" Jinxx asks.

"She's a shapeshifter, but shapeshifters are on our side." Andy says.

"Well it kind of matters more on her family." Jinxx notes.

"You're right, what's Kat's last name?" Andy asks me.

"Wilson." I answer.

"Jinxx, you don't think she's apart of the Wilsons, do you?" Andy asks.

"If she is, we need an army."

"What are you guys even saying?" I ask.

"Kat's family is very powerful and could possibly kill us all if we don't stop the root of the problem." Jinxx says.

"We need to kill them, but how?" Andy asks.

"Do you two hear yourselves? I'm not gonna let you kill my best friend." I say.

"Sam they're evil." Andy says.

"And apparently so are you." I say.

"Sammy, please just listen to Andy, he knows best." Jinxx says.

"And why should I trust you? You've changed a ton." I ask.

"Because I was turned!" He says.

"How? Who did it?" I ask.

"I did it." Andy says and I slap him. "Ouch." Jinxx chuckles.

"Why are you laughing?" I ask and slap him. "I don't like calling you Jinxx, I don't like how much you've changed. I don't care if you're fanged up, you were my friend and I want you to go back to being Jeremy."

"I wanted to become this, that's why I asked Andy to turn me." He says.

"Why do you want to be us? We're evil beings only meant to commit the worst of sins. We are Lucifer's creation." Andy asks.

"Because Alice died. She was the love of my life, and now I want to use these powers to help you guys. Your minds are in a good place, I want to help you make the world rid of evil." Jinxx says.

"I'm sorry for hitting you Jinxx." I say.

"You don't have to call me that if you don't want to." He says.

"No, it's the name you chose, I must respect that." I say.

"I don't get an apology?" Andy asks.

"No, I kinda liked hitting you." I say.

"Kinky." Jinxx says and they both chuckle.

"You know I still have a lot of questions." I say.

Andy pulls me into a hug and whispers in my ear, "And we will be here to answer each and everyone of them."
