Before The Angels Fell

Andys POV

"So how's things?" Ashley asked as we sat on bar stools, sipping on beers.
"Uhh, can't complain. Riley has never been happier, the EP is done, the tour is organised and Riley actually knows about it. So, we might make it through this one" I said with slight sarcasm.
"Okay..."
"I don't know. This relationship is doing my head in, Riley is so hot and cold sometimes. It'll be great for ages, but then something happens. It's not what I signed up for" I said looking down into my drink.
"Yeah, but that's relationships. They aren't good all the time, but you get through it cause you love each other. Do you not love Riley?" Ashley asked curiously.
"Of course I do! Just... sometimes I feel like I have to tread carefully around her" I sighed as I ran my hand through my freshly cut hair.
Ashley was about to say something when we heard the ear piercing frequency of a microphone being plugged in.
We both cringed to the sound and looked for the direction of the cause.
On the other side of the bar where singers often performed.
"Check, check. Okay. Hello everyone, I am Juliet Simms and I will be performing for you tonight" said the girl with short blonde hair and an acoustic guitar in her lap.
"So Andy..."
Ashley spoke, but I wasn't listening. Juliet starting playing and when her voice reached my ears, it was like angels.
All I could think was I needed her for a song. Our voices together would be exactly the edge we needed.
"Hey, Andy are you listening to me?!" Ashley yelled into my ear.
"What? Yeah! Hey, umm, she would be great to do a collab with!" I said completely side tracked.
"Andy, what are you talking about? The EP done. What are you going to do?"
"I don't know, but I have to do something. Her voice is amazing! I'm going to introduce myself when she's done."
"Andy! Andy, look a me!" Ashley yelled.
"What?!"
"Don't do it! I can see the look in your eyes. This is a bad idea."
"What are you talking about?" I questioned.
"Tell me this is purely business. To advantage her career? Or ours, I don't care, but I can't babysit you anymore. If you wanna hurt Riley go for it. I can't be apart of it anymore" Ashley said taking a swig of his beer. "Okay, I'm leaving. I can't watch."
I watched Ashley leave and I couldn't have cared less. This will set us apart, he was missing out.
I waited patiently till the end of her set before making myself known.
"Hi, ummm, I'm Andy, I just wanted to say that was an amazing set, you are really talented" I gushed.
"Umm, wow, thank you. That means a lot. I needed that. I just left my label cause they were a bunch of fucks who are from a cookie cutter. Oh my God, where are my manners, Juliet Simms" she said holding out her hand.
I reached out and shook it and it was like electricity passed through my bones.
"Hey, aren't you Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides?"
"Oh, yeah. I recently cut off my mane" I said touching my short hair.
"It is such a pleasure to meet you! Oh God! I'm trying not to fangirl."
I chuckled. "It's okay, I get it a lot. Listen umm, I think you have an amazing voice and I would love it if you came into the studio with me and we could try out a few things."
"Wow... Umm, really?" She said shocked.
"Yeah, we're going on tour next month, maybe if we have it ready on time, maybe you could come with us" I said giving her the smile that makes girls melt. I knew it was wrong for me to be doing this, but I couldn't help it, Juliet was gorgeous and sexy and her voice lured you in. I had to give her a chance. I felt my heart skip a beat.
"That would be more than amazing, you would be saving my life!"
"Don't think of it like that. I'm just helping out. Can I buy you a drink?" I asked.
"Sure" she grinned.
We sat on the stools where me and Ashley were and we talked.
"So where are you from?" I asked.
"I'm originally from San Francisco, then I moved to Florida when I was 11, then moved to LA a few years ago" she stated.
"Cool, so why'd you come back to California?"
"I wanted to be in a band, but that's turning out great" she said sarcastically.
"But, you said you just got dropped from label?"
"Ohh, yeah, but that wasn't my band. I was on The Voice. I came second and was offered a deal, but they tried to make me something I'm not, or something I don't wanna be."
"That's reasonable. Stand up for what you believe in."
"Yeah, I feel like the rock genre is dying, I can't let it die."
"Hey, what do you think I'm doing with my band? We are the rock genre. Warped Tour is one of the only things keeping it alive."
"I know what you mean. So Andy, what have you been doing?"
"Well, we just wrapped up the 'Rebels' EP. Do you want to know whats on it?" I smirked.
"Of course" she smiled.
"Okay, we covered Billy Idols 'Rebel Yell' and 'Unholy' by Kiss."
"That'll be interesting."
"But that's not all."
Juliet raised her eyebrows and waited.
"A brand new song by us called 'Coffin'. Fans are going to love it."
"Uhh, you bet they will. Andy this is amazing! You guys are literally pumping out music! They won't know what hit them!"
"I know. It's part of the fun. I can't wait till they hear it on tour. I can't wait for you to hear it" I smiled softly at her.
I noticed her blush and smile back.

Notes

I literally have no time for this anymore. Hopefully I've got this finished by the end of the year and next year my working hours will go down and I will be starting a new story.
