He Has A Heart Of Fire

Lost At Sea

"Autumn, will you move in with me?"
"Yes!!" I squealed, we both jumped up and hugged each other tightly, while I planted several kisses around Andy's face.
I'd thought about it before, but I had no idea he had too! Were we crazy? I mean, we'd only been together a month, but things were going so well between us! I wasn't sure if I loved Andy yet, it was still too early to tell. He definitely meant a lot to me, and he's been such a huge influence on my life. I could feel myself falling for him, but I don't think I was fully there yet.
Andy kissed me passionately before carrying me to his bedroom (or should I say 'our' bedroom), and creating a perfect ending to the perfect night.

The next day, me and the rest of the members of This Moment Forever went shopping for some new equipment, after receiving our paychecks from our most recent show.
Taz got a black Manson M1D1 guitar, while Link got a black 50s Gibson Les Paul. Jason got a red Epiphone EB-0 bass guitar. Tobi got a WHD Birch Rock Custom drum kit.
All I really needed was a microphone, which isn't as expensive as the equipment the others needed. I got a Shure SM58 Dynamic Vocal mic.
We weren't expected to buy things like leads or amps, they were getting bought for us by the record company. We paid for our new gear and gave our addresses for them to be delivered to, before heading over to Burger King for some lunch.

"So I was thinking of getting another tattoo," I announced as the five of us munched away on our burgers, "and maybe a new piercing. I have a decent amount of spare money left over."
"Oooh, what do you want to get?" Taz clapped her hands excitedly like a teenage girl. "I might get one too, we can go together and hold each others hands!"
"I want to get something to do with The Little Mermaid," everyone rolled their eyes at me. "You know how much I love that movie!" Everyone did indeed know how much I loved The Little Mermaid. I loved it that much, even Andy gave in to watching it with me.

After our lunch, the guys went off to do their own thing while me and Taz went to find the tattoo place. We found it and after a half hour of waiting, we finally got seen to.
"I want Ariel from The Little Mermaid," I explained. "I've had her pictured sat on an anchor, with something like 'lost at sea' on it.' The guy went off and drew something up for me.
"How's this?" he asked.
"Wow! Oh my god, that's perfect!" I followed him through to the back where the chairs were.
"Your friend's just about to get started," he told me.
I sat down in a chair next to Taz, a tattoo gun starting to bus on her hipbone, making her wince.
"What are you getting?" I asked her as my tattoo guy started getting the stuff together.
"Luceat lux vestra," she smiled. "Latin. It means 'let your light shine'."

Taz's tattoo was done in 40 minutes, she had the latin quote and some swirls around it. She sat and waited 2 hours with me for mine to be done.
"All finished!" the tattoo guy announced. "Take a look."
I stood up and looked at my bicep in the mirror. It was so beautiful. My reflection started to go blurry as my eyes filled with tears.
As the tattoo guy started clearing the stuff away, I got a sudden boost of confidence.
"There's one more thing I'd like you to do," I told him.

I walked out of the tattoo parlour with a new septum piercing. And it's true what they say, they hurt like a bitch.
"You look so hot!" Taz exclaimed loudly.
"I can't wait to show Andy!" I replied as we walked into a Starbucks. That reminded me, I needed to tell her.
As we sat down with our drinks, I started trying to break the news to my best friend slash roommate.
"Taz, Andy asked me something important last night, and I kind of agreed to it."
"He proposed?!" her jaw dropped.
"No, nothing like that! He asked me to move in with him..."
"...You're leaving me?" she started giving me puppy dog eyes.
"Not really," I assured her. "We see each other all the time, Tobi could move into the apartment and maybe Jason or Link could have my room. And I'm at Andy's all the time anyway."
"I guess you have a point, you barely live at our place anymore. I'll talk to Tobi about it." She smiled softly, her hand on my forearm.

When Taz and I finished our drinks, we went home. Taz went to the apartment, and I went back to my soon-to-be new home.
I walked into Andy's place to him sat on the breakfast bar with his acoustic guitar and a pad of paper in front of him.
"Hey, watcha doin'?" I asked, kissing his cheek before pulling a bottle of water out of the fridge.
"Writing a song, listen," he started playing a few bars on his guitar, and then started singing.
"Heaven's gone, the battle's won. I had to say goodbye.
I lived and learned from every fable written by your mind,
and I wonder how to move on from all I had inside,
placed my cards upon the table, in blood I draw the line... I've given all my pride.
"
He stopped.
"That's all I have so far," Andy smiled sheepishly.
"Babe, it's beautiful," I beamed at him. It's times like these that remind me why they're called artists. It's not just music, it's art. Invisible art that can bring tears to your eyes, put you in a good mood, or just get you through a rough time. How many paintings could do that?

"I have something to show you too!" I announced. I rolled the ring out of my nose so that my new piercing was visible.
"What! Autumn, that looks sick!" he grinned. "Honestly, it looks so cool!"
"Well, I'm glad you like it because I have something else to show you." I took off my leather jacket to reveal the tank top underneath. Andy's eyes settled on the cellophane wrapped around my arm as I began to unwrap it.
"Wow..." Andy whispered. "'Lost at sea'? What's that for?"
"It's for my dad," I explained. "He was in the Navy. He died in battle... So this tattoo is two of my favourite things combined. The Little Mermaid, and my dad." My eyes began to tear up. We were approaching the anniversary of his death, which gave me the idea for the tattoo. It was always hard this time of year.
"Oh, babe," Andy sighed, climbing down from the breakfast bar, pulling me into a warm embrace.
