He Has A Heart Of Fire

Life Is A Highway

At 9am I got up and started cooking some breakfast for Andy and I, letting him sleep in a little bit longer before I woke him up. Turns out I didn't have to wake him up, he ended up wandering out of his bedroom when he smelled bacon and eggs.
"I need to make YOU breakfast one day," he grumbled, rubbing his eyes.
"Maybe be you could if you'd wake up early enough," I winked.
I'd already gotten showered and dressed before I started cooking. It took way too long to go out when we were both trying to get ready. The amount of time Andy spends getting ready makes me look like the guy in this relationship.
It felt so surreal how different my life was since I'd met Andy again. I used to be a teaching assistant with a boring life who'd been single for 2 years. Now I was in a band, I was about to go on tour with an Black Veil Brides, and their beautifully hot frontman was my boyfriend. I had so much more than I deserved.
I shovelled our food onto our plates, which Andy wolfed down quickly, burning his mouth in the process.

After eating, I shooed Andy into the bathroom for him to get ready, and then sat down to watch The Jeremy Kyle Show USA while I waited.
"Aw hell nah!" some woman on the show shrieked after finding out her boyfriend was married. Some people, I swear to God.
As the woman was screaming around the stage, I heard a low chuckle behind me. I turned around on the couch to find Andy stood in the doorway, wearing black khaki shorts with a black tanktop and some vans, with his short, dark hair swept back but kind of to the side, framing his piercing blue eyes. I could never get over how beautiful he was.
"Ready to go?" he smiled, pulling me up off the couch.
"Mhm," I mumbled, pecking his lips multiple times. Today felt like a good day.

On our way to the mall, the sun was shining brightly and there were no clouds in the sky. The weather matched our moods completely. We had the roof of Andy's Mustang down, the wind blowing through our hair as Life Is A Highway by Rascal Flatts came on. We both started singing to each other loudly, uncontrollably laughing and smiling.
"Life is a highway,
I wanna ride it all night long,
If you're going my way,
I wanna drive it all night long!
"
We sang the entire thing word for word, out of breath by the end of the song.

We arrived at the mall, walking in arm and arm like a cheesey couple. We headed straight for Hot Topic.
In the store we, of course, ran into some Black Veil Brides fans. Andy politely gave the two girls autographs and smiled for a picture with them. Then they noticed me.
"IS THIS YOUR NEW GIRLFRIEND?" they asked excitedly.
I laughed. "Hi, I'm-"
"You're Autumn from This Moment Forever!! We're so excited to hear your band on the BVB tour!" they squealed. My first fangirls!
I also gave them autographs and smiled for a picture with them, and then they were on their way, clearly happy about their trip to the mall.

I came out of Hot Topic with three new pairs of skinny jeans (a blue pair, a blue ripped pair, and a black ripped pair); a couple tank tops (one white, one black); and some band tees (BVB, All Time Low, Blink-182).
"I need some girly-ish stuff," I announced to Andy, receiving an arched eyebrow and a half smile from him.
"Girly stuff? I thought that wasn't you," he laughed.
"It's not normally, but we're going to be on tour during the summer, it's going to get very warm," I reminded him.
Eventually, we went into a girly store. Andy was fine in Hot Topic because they sold guys clothes, and ones that he liked, but in this store, he was getting bored and fidgety.
"Babe, I'm just going to shoot into a store and I'll be right back," he gave me a kiss on the cheek and shot off, leaving me alone with all the blonde 'cheerleader' types that were wandering around the store.
In my basket, I put in two floral skater skirts; a pair of blue denim shorts; a mint green checked dress; and one of those tank tops that had the really wide neck and sleeves, which was black with an upside-down cross on the front.
I was looking at shoes, thinking about buying a pair of heels when Andy came back, carrying a bag I didn't recognize and didn't have a brand on it.
"Where did you get to?" I asked, eyeing the shoes in front of me.
"Just went to buy something I had my eye on. I'll show you later," he beamed.
Andy helped me choose a pair of 5 inch platform heels, which were black with a grey cobweb pattern on them.

After getting the promised Burger King lunch, we went home. Well, we went back to Andy's. His place was starting to feel more like home than my apartment was. Sure, I loved living with Taz, but there was no privacy there. She always had my brother there, and Jason and Link were there most of the time, too. At Andy's, we had the whole apartment to ourselves the majority of the time. It was quiet, which was nice. It made me think a few times about talking to Andy about settling down, but I always shook off the thought quickly after reminding myself that we'd only been together a month, and my career was about to take off. No settling down, for now.
Since I cooked breakfast, Andy insisted on cooking dinner. Surprisingly, he didn't order food or take something out of the freezer, he was actually making us a fresh meal; spaghetti with homemade meatballs.
I went to go get changed into something more comfortable while he was cooking. I walked out of the bedroom wearing my Harry Potter sweatpants and one of Andy's hoodies, my hair up in a bun and my glasses on. I didn't usually wear my glasses at home, but my contacts were being a pain today.
When I got to the dining room part of the kitchen, Andy had put our plates on the table, along with two candles and a single rose in a small vase, with the lights dimmed.
I gasped and covered my mouth, Andy turning around with two glasses of wine in his hands. All he did was smile at me.
"What's all this for?" I asked curiously, unable to stop smiling.
He pulled my chair out for me as I sat down, kissing my neck gently as he said "I just wanted to treat my special lady."
We ate our food, had a normal conversation, etc.
After we ate, Andy poured us some more wine and smiled while sighing.
"You know how I went off into a different store today?"
"Mhm," I replied as I sipped my wine.
"Well, I got you something," he said, pulling out a box. And no, not a ring sized box before you start to think that.
Andy opened the box to reveal a beautiful silver necklace with an emerald pendant on it, my birthstone.
"Andy, you shouldn't have!" I gasped, my eyes popping wide.
"Well, I did, so suck it up!" he beamed.
"Why have you done all this?" I asked, putting the necklace on immediately.
"I want to ask you something," he looked nervous. He must have noticed the look on my face when he quickly added "Don't worry, I'm not proposing!" I sighed with relief. I was so not ready for that.
"What's up?" I asked, my voice shaking. Why was I so damn nervous?! The man JUST told me he wasn't proposing!
There was a long pause between us before he looked up from his wine glass.
"Autumn, will you move in with me?"

Notes

I've been doing my A-Levels this week so my mind has been blank when I tried to write, so tonight I sat down with a cup of tea and some headphones, and forced myself to write!
I hope you enjoy it so far!
What do you think Autumn will say??
