Welcome To My Life

A Moments Hesitation

Sylvie pulled at the hem of her black shirt as Aaron and her walked down the trail to the beach. Tiki torches were lighting the way and she felt suddenly out of place as she saw the crowd.

Everyone had tattoos and colored hair. Gorgeous girls ran around, pulling their boyfriends. Aaron looped his arm through her's and pulled her to a small black haired girl.

"Hey Christie!" He grinned, laughing as she threw her arms around is neck.

"Hey A! I'm so glad you could come! Let me introduce you to some people!" She said, wrenching him away from Sylvie.

"Will you be okay?" He asked.

She nodded, softly. "Yes." He took in her outfit- black leggings, a black tee shirt, and black Doc Martins. Her blonde and brown hair was puffed in the front and her nose ring glinted in the light.

"Try to have fun okay?" He pleaded.

"I will." She nodded, smiling falsely. She walked away from him, quickly spotting the dune she wanted to sit on and bolted over. She was far enough away from the crowd that no one would bother her.

She loved the ocean and she just wanted to watch the waves. She drew her knees to her chest and began to think.

Dustin Harcourt- the classiest guy in the history of Toano High School was the greatest thing that ever happened to Sylvie until he wasn't. Until he was pounding away into some slut the year after they had their graduation.

Sylvie was broken hearted and she couldn't believe someone she thought was so great, could hurt her in an instant. They had been together three years. Three years wasted.

She moved to New York and once he followed her, she moved to LA. Now here she was- bored at a stupid party and missing him more than ever.

She heard the sound of someone walking towards her and turned to see a black head of hair looking towards his feet. He plopped down a few feet away, not noticing her yet.

As Sylvie looked closer she realized this was the guy from the office today. What was his name again?

Evan..Anthony..Andy! Andy that was it! Sylvie hadn't remembered him to be so handsome and now as she looked at him she could see every feature in the moonlight and soft glow of tiki torches. He looked different without all that makeup..better almost.

She turned away, not sure if she wanted him to notice her but it was too late.

"Hey, hey! You're that girl from AP, Sylvie right? Wow, weird seeing you again." He chuckled, ruffling his long black hair.

"Yeah, weird." She looked down at her lap as he moved closer to her.

"Sorry, I guess I never really introduced myself. I'm Andy Biersack." He smiled, extending his hand.

"Sylvie Chester." She said, her cheeks beginning to glow pink again as her hand touched his.

"You're rather beautiful there Sylvie Chester." He tipped his head to her.

"Oh-I-Uh t-thank you." She stuttered, crossing her feet.

He chuckled. "Did that make you nervous?"

"What? No! Why would you say that?" She frowned. He held his hands up, laughing.

"Just wondering." He winked. "So how old are you?"

"19." She replied. "You?"

He chuckled, "20. Guess we're young together, huh?" He jested.

"I'm not that young." She grumbled. He only smirked. "So you're a rockstar huh?"

"I guess so." He laid back, looking up at the stars. "One album and another on the way."

"Damn. You're only 20!" She exclaimed.

He shrugged. "I work hard."

"Clearly." She chuckled.

"So what were you doing here all alone?" He asked, looking up at her.

"I could ask you the same thing." She giggled as he sat up again and leaned back on his hands.

"You could but I'll just tell you." He smirked. "Parties like this aren't my thing. My band made me come."

"Ah." She nodded. "My best friend made me."

"Typical." Andy laughed. "Trust me. I know how that is."

"Really?" She chuckled.

"Yeah." He nodded. "My friends are adamant on that whole you need a girlfriend thing."

Sylvie shook her head. "Sounds like our friends should get together."

"Oh really?" He smirked. "Why don't you tell me about yourself, Sylvie Chester?"

She chuckled, "Like what? We're strangers sitting on a beach, what could you want to know?"

"Everything." He said, laying on his side so he faced her.

"Uhm, I'm Sylvie Isobel Chester. I'm a photographer but work as a receptionist, I moved to New York City from Virginia and then to LA. My favorite color is lavender.." She chuckled. "I don't know."

"Siblings?" He quirked his brow.

"A sister." She nodded. "Rayna."

"Pretty names." He laughed.

"So what about you rockstar?" She asked. "Any fun facts?"

"Nah." He shook his head. "I'm from Cincinnati. Only child. My favorite color is Crimson and my middle name is Dennis."

"How sophisticated." She said, resting her chin on her knees. She took a moment to look out at the ocean and smiled at how beautiful it looked at night.

"Hmm, I guess so." He laughed. They stayed silent for a moment before Andy sat up. "Let's get out of here."

"Sorry to disappoint but I don't do one night stands." She chuckled.

"I'm not talking about that. We both don't want to be here so let's leave. Drive around." He glanced at her, close enough that his breath fanned her face.

"It's a little risky isn't it? Couldn't you be a murderer or a rapist?" She raised her brow.

"But I'm not. That would be bad PR."

"Oh good to know that's the only reason." She rolled her eyes as he stood up and offered her his hand.

"Come on, Sylvie. Live a little."

She looked up into his eyes and couldn't help but feel something course through her. He grabbed her hand and her breath hitched.

"Fine."
