You Were Always Mine

"Mr Biersack, are you ok!?" Genieve asked again.
"I'm fine, Miss Barnette." He winced as the medics stitched the scratch on his bicep. "You're not, though. Can I get a medic here!?" I yelled.
"Mr Biersack, don't make a scene! I am fine!" She snapped, pulling the piece of shattered glass from her stomach. It didn't even hurt. She barely felt pain.
Gerard ran from the building.
"Oh my God, Genieve, you're hurt! Can someone get a medic!?" He practically screamed.
"Damn you Americans!" Genieve exploded. "I am fine!"
Nevertheless, a paramedic was on her immediately. She glared.
Gerard set about examining the bullet-riddled car, trying to ignore the buzzing press.
Genieve wandered over.
"How is Andy coping?"
"He's in shock." She said understanding.
"Makes sense. So explain it for me." He ordered. Gerard was a miracle with forensics.
"Well, Andy was getting in the car and I was leaving the building when I saw the van. There was a gun poking out the window from the opposite side of the cab. Completely white van with tinted windows. I caught a glimpse of the driver but he had a mask. Definitely male though. Alone too." She recalled.
"Licence plate?" He asked as he scribbled on his batman notebook.
"I couldn't see one." She admitted.
He sighed. "Andy is very lucky you were here."
"Yeah." She agreed. "I'm going to assign an entourage for them. Someone has made them a target. Get to finding more info, Gee. Confiscate reporters cameras if you must. This is going to be extremely difficult to clean up." She sighed before leaving.
"You're welcome." Gerard muttered sassily as he plucked a bullet from the other side of the car.
Everything was coming together perfectly for Genieve.
"Daved, well done. I have a gift for you. If you look in the control room, you'll find it. Start phase one. I'll continue phase 2 on the other." She cheered down the phone. Yes. Perfect.
