Free Bird

"It looks like you are having a little girl." the lady informs us
Ashley smiles from ear to ear, but he also looks pale. Then he does something I'm not excepting.
"Hi my little princess," he says looking at my belly, "daddy loves you."
I tear up at this small gesture. He is so amazing and is going to be the perfect father to her.
"So do we have a name picked out?" the lady asks while cleaning up my stomach
"We have a few, but we haven't decided just yet." I say as Ashley helps me sit up
"Well I'm sure it will be a beautiful name. We will see you in three weeks."
We get in the car and drive back to Ashley's place.
"We are going to have a little girl baby! Aren't you excited?" he hasn't stopped smiling since the technician said the word girl.
"Yes, but.... pink," I fake cringe,"just kidding she'll be my little musical artist."
Just then it hits me! As soon as we get home I research names and meanings and I put something unique and perfect together.
"Ash?" I yell down the hall from the couch
"Yes baby? How's your school work going?"
"Oh, I finished that this morning," I laugh, "but I wanted your opinion on this name. I've been doing research and I thought Chantel Kriti Purdy. According to this site Chantel means rocky land or singer, so like you, and Kriti means work of art. Since she's a part of both of us, why not have her name reflect that?"
He stares at me for a minute, and I think he's going to shut it down, but he smiles at me and says.
"Unique and perfect. Just like her."
