Free Bird

I look at Ashley. He looks back at me.
"Guys? What's going on?" Jinxx asks
The whole gang is sitting around a table in the pizzeria. Andy, Juliet, Jinxx, Alice, CC, Amelia, Jake, and Shay. Our friends and the people who support us. We sigh and look all of them in the eyes.
"Well.... uh...." I stutter
"Well guys, uh..." Ashley can't get it out either
"Oh my God, no." Shay says from across the table, then looks at Amelia
"Are you....?" Amelia asks me
Everybody looks at them and me, even Ashley. I look at him and shrug at how they knew, but I look at them and nod since Ashley and I can't form words. They squeal and run to us hugging us while everyone is still oblivious.
"Come on ladies?" Amelia says, "It's obvious. They are nervous, they can't speak, there is no ring, shes obviously going to have a baby."
"Ash, man is this true?" CC says coming up to his best friend
"Yea. We found out yesterday."
CC gives hi a bro hug, followed by Andy. Everyone is so happy for us and they support us.
"Are you keeping it?" Alice asks, "Not trying to sound rude, but I was just curious because of where you are in your lives. I mean, I hope you do, but I was curious if you thought of adoption."
"Yes, we are." I say proudly.




-skip a few months-
"Ms Tanner?" s nurse calls from behind the door.
Ashley takes my hand and we walk together down the hall. Today is the day we found out what we are having.
"How are we feeling?" she asks
"Good, baby is starting to be active a lot more often."
"That's good, you ready to see?"
We nod in anticipation...
"There is the face, ooooh a wave, there are the feet. Did we want to know the sex today? Yes? Okay, well it looks like it's a......"
