Free Bird

-skip ahead a few months-

"See you next semester?" Shay says as she grabs the last of her boxes
"Most definitely." I respond as I give her an awkward side hug
I survived my first year of college, and now I get to kick back and enjoy my summer, aside from the one online summer course I signed up for. I finish up packing my boxes, no I'm not going back to Florida. Ashley has insisted that I move my stuff to his place since we will be on Warped Tour all summer anyway. I even get to help at the merch tent.
"Is my baby all packed and ready to go?" Ashley asks as he leans against the door jam, that cute smile of his across his face.
"Almost." I answer as I struggle with the duck tape to close my boxes.
"Well while you struggle with the tape, I shall take these boxes to my car."
"So I don't even get a little help with the tape, just going to leave poor defenseless me to fend it off all on my own?"
We laugh at my horrible joke, and he pecks my cheek before grabbing three boxes...
"Whoa baby careful, my boxes aren't exactly light."
Sure enough the top two topple over, and I try to hide my smile. Before I can laugh at him Andy and CC pop into the doorway and grab a box.
"What are you guys doing here?" I ask confused
"Helpin." CC responds with a pop in his voice
"Shouldn't you be helping your girlfriend pack her boxes?" I raise an eyebrow at him
"She is all packed and waiting for me to take her to the airport."
"I command that you put the box down and go spend time with her before she leaves. You won't see her until we get to Nashville."
"But..."
"NO BUTS! Christian Coma Mora I command you put the box down and go see Amelia!"
"Alright alright. Hostile much."
I stick my tongue out at him and he disappears. Ashley, Andy and I get all the boxes taped, and loaded into the car. I see Amelia and CC at the far side of the lot, and her face shows pure joy, so I'm assuming that means CC finally asked her to join him on Warped after Nashville. I walk over to her and she hugs me.
"We get to work the BVB merch tent together this summer and spend weeks on end on a tour bus together! Holy shit!" she squeals
"Yea, just promise to not squeal like that on the bus okay?" I ask her
She smiles and we hug before she gets in CC's car and heads to the airport, and I say goodbye to Andy before hopping in Ashley's car and going to his house.
