Beauty and the Beast

Andy stared down at me. His mouth slightly open. Both of his hands were hanging onto the door frame, as if he would lose his balance and fall if he let go.

"Wha...what are you doing here?" He stuttered.

I brushed my hair behind me ear and looked down at the floor. "Life wasn't the same..." I looked back up to see that he was now looking at the ground. "This grew to be my home." He looked back at me, I swayed slightly. "I forgive you." I quickly started my walk back down to the second floor when he took my arm gently.

"Why?" His voice was quiet, soft, he didn't think he deserved forgiveness.

I folded my hands and fiddled with my thumbs. I couldn't seem to get the words out. Instead I just hugged him tightly, my arms around his neck. With some coxing his arms found their way around my waist.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked softly, my head resting on his shoulder. I felt him nod, we had not parted. "Why did you save me?" I knew that he was the beast I met my first night encountering the dark forest.

He pulled away, but kept his hand on my waist. He took a deep breath and then kissed my lips hard. I didn't stop him, I didn't want to. When the kiss grew his hands wondered to the small of my back and mine fell upon his cheeks, bringing him closer. We gently parted, but our foreheads were still conected.

"That's why."
