Love-Hate

"Catherine Nicho. I'm here for my job interview." I said loudly over the woman who was busy blow drying a woman's hair.
She nodded and began talking without taking her eyes off of the woman's hair.
"Go talk to John. He's in his office, go through those doors and it's the door on the left." She nodded her head towards the back of the salon.
"Thank you." I said and walked towards the doors, I have never had to do a job interview for how long since I had two steady jobs back in Chicago.
My gut twisted and I felt nervous suddenly as I knocked on the door.
"Stacey what did I say about knocking? You don't have to." A man said before looking up.
"Oh you're not Stacey. May I help you?" He smiled at me and I admired how handsome he looked before shaking my head and smiling back.
"I'm Catherine Nicho. Here for the job interview." I said walking and holding out my hand which he shook before sitting back in his desk.
"So you're the famous Catherine Joanie was telling me about?" I nodded and suddenly missed Joanie. She was one of my closest friends back in Chicago.
"Yes that's me. Though I don't think I am that famous." I giggled like a school girl before clearing my throat sitting up straight.
"She said you were her prize hair dresser. All of your costumers loved you, she strongly recommended that you would be perfect here." I began to blush at Joanie's words for me.
I hadn't known she was going to say such things.
"So Catherine. When can you start?" He asked making my mouth fall open.
"You don't want to ask me any questions or anything?" I said. Wow way to try and talk yourself out of a job Catherine. John chuckled.
"No need. Joanie was very thorough on telling me about you. I feel as if I know your whole life story." I smiled and made a mental note to call Joanie and thank her.
"I can start whenever you're ready for me." I said eagerly.
"Okay. How about on Saturday? It's our busiest day and Stacey or Rachel would love to show you the ropes though I'm sure you'll settle quickly. We can talk about your wage when you come in." He said with his hazel eyes that reminded me of my brothers Brendan. I looked away nodded.
"Saturday is perfect." I looked back and John nodded towards me.
"I have your number in case we need you before then but enjoy the city a little bit before being stuck in here all the time." He said in a jokingly tone.
"I lived here my whole life John. I know the city." I said making him laugh.
"More the reason to relive the city?" I grabbed my bag and John walked me to the front waving at the workers before opening the door for me.
"See you soon Catherine." "Please call me Cat." I said with a grin.
"See you soon Cat." He winked at me before I walked out and was surprised to see Andy leaning against his car, his arms crossed against his chest. I smiled at him and skipped towards him.
"I got the job!" I squealed in a high pitched tone making Andy laugh.
"Your boss seems to have taken a liking into you." He whispered pulling me towards him and kissing my lips.
I felt happy because I remember he always used to do this when we were teenagers.
He used to always pull me closer by my shirt or jacket. I kissed him hard on the lips before pulling away.
"how did you get here?" I asked realizing that I came on the bus.
"I asked Lindsay where and she told me." My eyes darkened at what happened last night before shaking my head and opening the car door.
"Oh." I heard Andy laugh aloud and walking over to the other side of the car.
"Are you hungry?" He asked putting the car in drive.
"I'm always hungry Andy." I said like he was dumb.
"Okay good because the guys want to go eat lunch together. They miss you, especially Jeremy."
"Didn't I just see them yesterday though?" I said remembering Christian giving me shot after shot.
"Guess they can't get enough of Cat." He shrugged and I zoned out. I honestly never thought that I'd be here in this position.
With Andy and hanging out with all of the guys again. I really did miss them all. I hardly noticed when Andy was getting out of the vehicle. I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the vehicle myself. Andy came to the other side and put his arm around my shoulder.
A bunch of butterflies exploded in my stomach and I tried to shake them away but he decided to kiss my face making me flush. We went inside.
"Catherine!" A lot of people shouted and my eyes went big to see how many people were there yelling my name. "...and Andy!" Jake added making everyone laugh. Myself included.
I didn't recognize half of these people. But my eyes fell onto Matty from Memphis May Fire.
"Good to see you again Cat." He said coming to hug me. I hugged back and when we pulled away Andy wrapped his arm around my waist tightly.
I rolled my eyes, he can get really jealous at time. That hasn't changed obviously. I eased into Andy's side and Cam came and practically ripped me from Andy's grasp and for the second time this week I was in a manwich of Memphis May Fire.
"Okay, okay, you can all let her go." Andy said in a jokingly tone.
"Leave them be Andy!" Ashley said slapping his arm and dragging him to sit down next to him and the only open seat was next to Jinxx and Jake so I sat down.
"I really missed you Kitty." Jinxx said making me want to roll my eyes again. I always called him by his real name so he called me Kitty even though he knew I hated that name, except when Maddison called me that. I felt a pang of sadness at the thought of Lindsay and Maddison.
"Missed you too Jeremy." I smirked causing him to tut me and Jake put his arm on the back of my chair.
"So Cat. How are you? Andy tells us that you work in a salon! Want to cut my hair a little? I mean not too short since all the ladies like my hair." He winked making me laugh.
"If I ever feel like it. So what's this I hear about you naming a dog after me?" I rose an eyebrow making Jake click his tongue and lean towards my ear whispering.
"She's a feisty little dog, so of course I'd name her after you." I gasped and bumped my shoulder against him softly. "Well she'll love me since she has the best name on the planet." I gloated proudly.
"She doesn't like anyone except me sorry to disappoint you." He said and I noticed Andy was looking at me from down the table.
I smiled and waved at him, both Jeremy and Jake copied me and Andy flipped them off.
"Did you see what he did to you Cat? You should throw my chair at him." Jeremy pouted motioning to his chair.
"How brutal do you think I can be?" I scoffed. "Just saying, wouldn't be the first time you threw a chair at someone." Jake whispered making me flush and he bursted out laughing.
Of course bat ears Jeremy heard and gave him a high five.
Okay so my last year in high school, how it was all shit and stuff. I ended throwing a chair at Ashley's girlfriend at the time. Her name was Kelly and she was being so obvious about talking about me to her slutty friends so I threw a chair at her. I got a three day suspension, was not my proudest moment but of course everyone heard about that.
I giggled at the memory and looked up to see Andy giving me one of his killer smiles, the kind where I wanted to run across the table and kissed him passionately but for now I hid my face into the menu with Jeremy talking to someone about that time in high school.
I will never live that moment down.

After arguing who was going to pay for what. I gave Ashley twenty dollars to pay for my meal and sat there wanting to punch the lot of them for being so loud when there's families trying to eat.
Once everything was sorted out I followed Andy to his car, he laced his fingers with mine.
"Okay this time I mean it when I say I don't want to see you guys for three weeks. Cat you don't count!" Ashley yelled across the parking lot.
"Okay Ash!" I yelled back and was about to say more but Andy cut me off with a kiss.
"Get a room!" I heard someone yell. I pulled away and seen Christian smiling evilly at me. I winked and kissed Andy again.
"I'm stopping by later to steal Cat. She needs time to spend with us, plus I want to include her in my weekly videos." Jake said with his sunglasses on.
"You could just talk to me you know. But sure that sounds fun!" I said to Jake.
"Okay, can't promise I won't send you home drunk as hell."
My poor, poor liver. What more could she take?

Notes

I'm so sorry that about disappearing. i missed the life of Cat and Andy. This is sort of a short chapter but I need to ease back into the writing again plus I'm using my phone.
I'm excited to say I'm meeting Pierce the Veil in February!! I'm freaking the fuck out because I've been wanting to see them for years and years so yes!!!!
Any who hope you like it :) I'm going to try and update more often!
