Love-Hate

Ashley quickly left the room and Andy looked up at me, his blue eyes burned into my own.
"What are you doing here?" He whispered still stunned that I was knelt down in front of him.
"To see you silly goose." I tried to lightened up the mood of the room.
Luckily it worked Andy gave me a small smile.
"I'm sorry you had to see me like that, plus I probably smell." He chuckled lightly.
"I don't mind." I said truthfully and I didn't, I loved to see this part of Andy maybe not the part where it's because of me but where I see his soft side. It's rare to everyone who knew him, he was always the tough guy.
"How about you freshen up. I'll make something to eat while you shower okay? Then we'll talk." I said.
"Okay." Then I stood up and tried to walk out the but Andy grabbed my wrist.
"Can you just lay with me for a bit?" He begged making me smile.
"Only for a few minutes. You stink." I scrunched up my nose in a jokingly manner.
"Ha-ha." Andy said dragging me to the bed with him.
"I missed you so much." Andy sighed in relief.
"I never stopped." I told him snuggling up to his chest. Andy just held me and rubbed my back every once and awhile softly humming something under his breath.
"Okay let's get up." I said trying to sit up but Andy just pulled me back down.
"I'm serious Andy. You need to shower." I told him finally getting up and pulling him up with me.
"Can you shower with me?" Andy tried. I laughed and shook my head.
"You're a big boy you can handle yourself."
"It was worth a shot." Andy chuckled before getting up and searching for clothes to wear.
I got up and went downstairs to see Ashley on the couch toying around with his phone. He looked up at me when I made the last step on the ground.
"Done already?" He asked. I shook my head at him.
"No he's going to shower then we'll talk. You hungry?" I asked going to the kitchen.
"Hell yeah." Ashley yelled.
"Okay. Let's see what he has to cook." I said to myself and opened the freezer.
I decided to make some nuggets and kraft dinner. I boiled some water in a pot and put the chicken nuggets in the oven. I was busy dancing to whatever popped in my mind I didn't notice Andy standing there leaning against the door frame.
"How long have you been standing there?" I asked.
"Long enough to know you really need dance classes." He laughed making me throw the dish rag at him.
"I'll have you know I'm an excellent dancer." I defended myself before putting the Kraft Dinner in the now boiling pot of water stirring it with a wooden spoon.
"Hungry?" I asked.
"Starved." He replied and then Ashley came around the corner.
"Me too. Hurry up Cat." He urged me.
"Hey! It's not me it's the food cooking itself." I shot back before laughing.
I felt content now, it's like nothing ever happened between us and we were all hanging like we use to but this time I knew it wasn't going to change within minutes.
We've all matured, I just need to let it happen naturally. About half an hour our food was cooked and we were all sitting in the living room eating our food. Ashley and Andy were eating like there was no tomorrow.
"Savages." I mumbled laughing to myself.
"Shut up." Ashley said through a mouthful of food.
"Okay." I put my hands up in defence and finished eating. By the time dishes were done Ashley went home to leave Andy and I to talk to ourselves.
"So." Andy said sitting in front of me.
"So." I mocked him.
"I love you." Andy confessed. I closed my eyes smiling.
"I love you too, fuckhead." I said licking his nose. Andy grinned and kissed my nose. "I've been thinking Andy." I finally started. "I just think we need a clean slate of it all. No more bringing up the past or blaming each other. I'm tired of being miserable and not being able to move forward with a guilty mind." Andy nodded in agreement.
"To let go of our past mistakes." He continued for me.
"Yes. I want to look at you and feel at peace not feel like we owe each other a well needed apology." I sighed when Andy wrapped his fingers around mine.
"I want you to be mine again." Andy suddenly said kissing my fingers. My fingers tingled where he left a lingering soft kiss.
"Woah there." I said chuckling.
"If we're going to be something let's take it slow Andy. To get to know each other first okay?" Andy nodded and bit my ring finger. "Ow!" I shouted and hit his shoulder not lightly but hard.
"You're mean." Andy fake pouted.
"Me? You're the one who bit me!" I exclaimed. Andy rubbed the spot where I had hit.
"Y'know for a girl you can pack a punch." He whine making me snicker at him.
"You're fault. In the future don't bite me or else.." I trailed off when Andy was close to my face.
"Or else what?" He said in a low husky voice.
"I'll do something drastic that you-" He placed his lips on me, I fell into the kiss. Andy bit my bottom lip making me glare and pull away. I got up and walked away from him.
"What are you doing?" Andy said.
"Going to bed. Told you I was going to do something drastic." I called out to him.
"By drastic I thought you were going to you know throw and break a few things." He chuckled his voice coming closer.
"I'm not one to throw tantrums." I replied and got under the covers. This was a long day and I'm tired.
The light turned off and I felt the bed shift next to me.
"Am I really forgiven?" Andy whispered.
"I told you a clean slate, but yes you are forgiven." I said my eyes half closed.
"I love you Catherine." Andy murmured.
"I never stopped."
