If Heaven were on Earth

Nikki's POV:

My body tensed up just as they walked in. I refused to meet their stormy gaze and I briefly heard my mother ask for my father to sign the release papers. I knew that was all just away to find time to get Andy and Oli to leave; my dad would be furious and couldn't hurt me in front of them.

"Andy, Oli, thank you both for looking after me and taking care of me today, but I think you both should go now. I'll be fine," I mumble, not meeting their intense gazes.

Andy's grip on my hand tightens and he tilts my head so he's looking me dead in the eyes. "Nikki, you can't, I won't let you go with her," he whispers anxiously, eyes wide.

I shake his grip off and smile softly at Oli, "please, take him back to his house. And thank you so much Oli."

I can see the internal battle in his eyes but one glance of my pleading face and he gives in. He pulls Andy up and begins to drag him away, ignoring Andy's shouts in protest.

The second the door shuts my mother is in my face, her palm raised as she smacks me swiftly across the cheek. I wince and hold the burning red welt as my mother paces the tiny room, ranting about how 'disgracious' I am.

She then whips around to face me, ger eyes wild and hair tumbling out of her professional bun. "How dare you go around and start prancing about! Stupid bitch, do you know how much you've cost us? And now we needed to be taken from our jobs to cover your sorry ass. I hope your head hurts," she hisses as the door opens again.

My father's eyes are red and rimmed with dark circles, but the anger is obvious. He storms over to my bedside and tugs me to be feet by my hair, before ramming his ring covered fist into my stomach. I bend over in pain and groan in pain, before being harshly yanked out of the room.

To my utter astonishment, my parents smile and my father places a hand on my shoulder, guiding my out of the hospital. However the moment the automatic doors shut im shoved roughly to the ground, my leggings tearing. I cry out as I scrape my knees on the sidewalk and my mother 'accidentally' kicks me with a extra tall, stiletto heel.

I keel over and hear their evil cackling as they walk away to the car. I scramble to my feet and try my best to follow them, but am shocked to find the car doors locked as the engine revs to life. I pound anxiously on the windows for my parents to open up but they simply flip me off. Fucking bastards.

They drive off, leaving me in the dust and without a phone or money.
