Let Shadows Die

Hope knew the moment Andy arrived. She had never been so relieved in her life. She could also feel his anger. Then she heard him in her head.
"Baby, it's the full moon. I'm wolfed out right now. Don't be afraid when you see me."
"Andy, I could never be afraid of you. I love you. I know you would never hurt me." She answered silently.

With these words she heard a deep gutteral growl coming from the shadows behind her attacker. The man froze and slowly turned around as Andy emerged from the shadows.

"What the hell?"

If she hadn't known it was Andy, she probably would have been frightened. He was close to eight feet tall. He was covered in short black fur. It was so short it was almost like the fur on a cat's nose. He had long sharp claws. As always he had double fangs. One set slightly longer than the other. His body was lean and sinewy. His chest stuck out farther than his stomach. She could see the muscle definition of his abs. He was fighteningly beautiful.

When her attacker saw Andy towering over him, he dropped his knife and took off running. He didn't get far, Andy was already in front of him. He grabbed the man and held him in place.

"Baby, go back to the room and wait for me."
"What are you going to do to him?"
We're just going to have a little chat about how to treat a girl."

Hope left and went back to the hotel room to wait for Andy.
