Escaping Grace

I blushed, then unlocked the door.
"What are you doing here?" I asked as Andy stepped inside. He glanced around, his black jeans ripped and as he shirked his jacket off and tossed it very familiarly on the back of my couch, I noticed he'd cut the sleeves off his white band T. My eyes traveled to the feather reaching up his neck.
"CC texted me and said you were screaming at someone on the phone in 'scary sounds'," he looked at me curiously. "I just wanted to see if you were okay when you didn't answer my calls."
"Oh, I didn't know that was you," I said, feeling awkward as I stood there. I was in sweat pants supporting my old towns mascot, and my t shirt had colors all over it from my rare moments of using watercolor pencils. My makeup was from yesterday and my hair was still bedhead with a headband. Why was this happening to me?
"As you can see, I'm fine," I said, looking down. "I think he over exaggerated."
"Ah," he took a step closer, and I inhaled, smelling his cologne. God when guys smelled good it was like they were drop kicking me in the attraction department.
"So popcorn... And twizzlers?" he frowned. I rolled my eyes.
"Why does everyone say it like that? Don't knock it till you try it."
"If you say so," he shrugged., and stole the bowl.
"Hey!" I cried, chasing after him as he started around the couch. He popped some popcorn in his mouth as he fell, propping his feet on the coffee table. I frowned, hands on my hips as I looked at him.
"Well just make yourself at home."
He grinned at me, offering me the bowl. My lips twitched and I sat beside him, taking a twizzler and a handful of popcorn.
"Okay, how does that even taste good?"
"You have to get some popcorn in your mouth first, and then take a bite of twizzler. So not difficult."
"Oh yeah?" he tossed a piece of popcorn in the air, easily catching it in his mouth, "Yeah," I answered, curling my legs under me.
He glanced at the TV as the commercial went off. "You're watching Bewitched?"
"Yes," I pulled the bowl into my lap, "I am. It's a good show."
"It's old."
"It's better then a lot of this new stuff," I defended. "I like it."
"Whatever," Andy shook his head, amd grabbed the remote. I smacked his hand with a twizzler before I thought about it.
"Ow! What the hell?"
"Don't you change the channel," I warned, shaking the twizzler at him. He blinked at me, then is lips twisted in a reluctant smile.
"Okay," he slowly set the remote between us.
There.
I took a bite out of the twizzler, and glanced over after a few minutes. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I blushed.
He was gazing at me speculatively.
"Nothing," he shook his head, and grabbed another handful of popcorn. I turned my attention back to the TV. I watched as Samantha turned a man into a dog, and chuckled.
"How is that funny?"
"How is it not? He acted like a dog and now he is one."
Andy rolled his eyes.
"So are you going to try the twizzlers or not?" I asked, twisting to look at him. I propped my chin in my hand.
He hesitated, and I frowned.
I offered him a twizzler.
"Are you afraid?" I asked, and he narrowed his eyes.
He leaned forward, and took a bite, and I blinked.
Did he just... He did.
I flushed.
"Well where's the popcorn?" he asked softly.
I took a piece of popcorn and lifted it to his lips, popping it into his mouth, his eyes not leaving mine.
He raised a brow.
"This actually isn't bad."
"I told you," I swiveled back into my seat, refusing to look over at him and thoroughly breaking the moment.
I wasn't going to sleep with him, I told myself. This was literally my third time meeting him, for goodness sake, amd this was the first time we'd ever even hung out.
It was a one time thing.
I wasn't going to do it.
