You Say I'm Crazy

"Andy!" The squeals of a bunch of high pitched girls attacked Mae's ears as they walked into the venue Black Veil Brides was performing in.

Every single one of the girls had large boobs and that same peroxide blonde hair. Mae felt uncomfortable around all of them, especially when they started talking to her boyfriend.

"Hi girls." Andy said, keeping one arm around Mae's waist and the other in his pocket. Mae looked so adorable to him today in a pair of jeans, floral Doc Martins, a tank top, and a black sweater. Her hair was piled onto her head but somehow it still looked perfect.

"Who is this?" One of the band sluts asked.

"My girlfriend." Andy nodded, watching with enjoyment as each of their faces deflated. He'd used all of them individually after Scout and him broke up but their constant pursue of him was getting annoying.

"I thought you and your girlfriend broke up?" One of them asked.

"That was a while ago." Andy rolled his eyes, annoyance settling in his chest. He caught sight of a few people in the back of the venue he didn't expect to see.

Xavier, Russell, and David.

"Excuse us." Andy said, pulling Mae closer to him and walking over to his "friends". They smirked at him as they saw him advance. "What the fuck are you guys doing here?" Andy asked. Mae looked scared but she wasn't backing down.

"We wanted to see your band play." Xavier chuckled. Andy narrowed his eyes. They've never taken interest in his music before so he knew they had an alterior motive. Something told him it had a lot to do with Mae.

"Guys, my parents are coming to this show. So are Mae's.." He leaned closer to Xavier. "Just get the fuck out of here."

"Free world, Andy. I'm assuming your done with us? You know since your leaving so soon and all.." Xavier whispered so Mae couldn't hear, smirking as Andy's eyes widened.

"How do you know about that!?" He exclaimed.

"Yo Andy! Sound check!" Chris screamed at the singer.

"Nothing gets around us." Russell spoke up.

"Yeah, see you around Biersack." David said. They all walked away but not before Xavier padded past Mae and bumped into her shoulder in turn making her fall to the ground.

"What the fuck!?" She said, standing up and walking towards him but Andy had beat her to it.

"Don't touch her!" He seethed drawing his fist back but Chris had bolted over there and was holding him back, while Mae grabbed his other arm to do the same.

"Andy you need to chill out!" Chris said, watching the three punks walk out of the club. Andy just kept struggling against him and finally stilled but only when Mae buried her face in his neck in attempt to calm him down.

His breathing was slowing as Chris let go of him but Mae started to whisper things into his ear. "Shh, Andy, it's okay." She said, smoothing his hair down and kissing his neck softly. The entire room had gone silent and was watching with curiosity. Not many people were there, the band, the band sluts, a few workers, and a few other random dudes from the band before Black Veil Brides called Close To Home, the only other band playing.

"I'm so sorry." Andy huffed, his arms wrapping around her tiny waist.

"It's okay, shh.." She whispered. It was like the whole room had disappeared to the couple and it was just them. The room started to fill with chatter again as Mae held Andy as well as she could. His heartbeat was still really fast and he felt so tense Mae was scared for him. "Please, calm down."

"I am." He promised, "You calm me down." She nodded against his shoulder. "I'm sorry he hurt you."

"It's okay." She said, pulling away and looking up at him. He nodded and leaned down to kiss her lips softly. "You need to sound check, sweetie. Go on." She said, tapping his ass and sending him towards the stage. She leaned back against the bar and watched him check his microphone. He was still frustrated, clearly, so he wasn't singing. He just spoke a few phrases and then shot a thumbs up to the sound booth. He stayed on stage for a while, talking back and forth about his sound to a few of the other guys.

The whole time he kept an eye on Mae, making sure she was safe. She basically just leaned on the bar and played on her phone. She seemed so bored and Andy felt bad for her. This was not her scene and every girl was looking right at her. Maybe because she was so beautiful, maybe because they were jealous she had Andy, maybe because she looked so different.

All Andy knew was that he was falling hard for Mae Lilly Wingfield. Hard and fast.

"Hey baby." Andy said, his arm gliding around her shoulder right after he got off stage.

"Hi." She pecked him, sliding her phone in her pocket.

"Want to grab some dinner before the show?" He winked, "I think you need some food in that tiny belly." He rubbed her tummy making her giggle loudly.

"Yeah, I'm hungry." She grinned up at him. Andy's eyes softened.

She was so trusting in him, so caring.

"Let's go." He said, taking her hand and pulling her out of the club. Her other hand reached up and grabbed his arm as well. Andy was watching her as they walked and she chuckled as she looked at him.

"What?" She smirked.

"You're so damn beautiful." He shook his head as she blushed.

"I'm really not..." Mae mumbled, looking down at her feet. Andy stopped walking and let his hand drift under her chin so she looked up at him. "You could have any one of those beautiful girls in there and you choose me? The little hippie girl who knows nothing about what you do? You would like me more if I dressed like those girls, I know it.."

"Mae.." He shook his head. "The you, standing in front of me, is the you I'll want to be with today, tomorrow, and forever. You're beautiful because you are who you are and that makes you perfect." She leaned up and pressed her lips against his, softly. His hand drifted down her back and he pressed into her small to get her even closer.

"I feel like a princess." She grinned against his lips. He pulled away before placing his lips to her head.

"You are." He said, "My princess." She let her head lay on his chest for a bit before pulling away. "Let's go eat." They walked hand in hand to the same cafe Andy found her outside of. As they walked inside Mae immediately breathed out a sigh.

Jacob was in there.

"Fuck.." She shook her head. Andy rolled his eyes at the asshole and wrapped his arm around her neck.

"You're okay, Mae." He said, pressing his lips to her temple. She nodded as they walked to a table and sat down. A waitress came up almost immediately.

"Hi! I'm Ellie, I'll be waiting on you this evening. Can I get you guys something to drink?" She asked.

"Water please." Andy smiled.

"Iced tea." Mae nodded. Andy nodded his head to his side of the booth they were in, making Mae laugh. She stood up and walked to him, his arm immediately sliding around her shoulder.

They cuddled up together, eventually ordering French fries and pizza to share. Mae couldn't wait to watch Andy perform but she couldn't ignore the eyes on her from across the room.
As they walked out of the restaurant, Jacob brushed past Andy's shoulder. "Hope you enjoy your time, assholes."

"Hey Mainstay! We're the Black Veil Brides and we're going to play you some songs tonight!" A few loud screams erupted from the crowd and Mae smirked at Andy from side-stage. She was the only person allowed, Kaya not being able to make the show since she was hanging out with some other guy she met. Chris didn't seem to hurt, only more interested in his bong and weed than anything else.

"This song is called We Stitch These Wounds! I hope you like it!" Andy smiled as the band began playing their hearts out.

The lyrics were beautiful but Mae had a hard time understanding the screams. All in all Andy was amazing on the stage. Mae completely understood why he would leave school for it.
She had yet to ask her parents and she knew she would have too but the idea of leaving scared her. She wanted to be with Andy, but what if they didn't make it?
Mae didn't want to be stuck out there with nothing but her own tail between her legs. She wanted to do something.

She had a feeling he was hiding something from her. What, she didn't know. But ever since this morning he's been so touchy..

Andy winked over at her and then blew a kiss. She laughed before returning it and then walking to her and Andy's parents. "Hey guys." She smiled, leaning into Amy's aide as she hugged her tightly.

"He's pretty amazing isn't he?" Amy whispered in her ear as he looked down at them. He waved making them all chuckle.

"Yeah he really is." She said, biting her lip.

As she watched on, she became more and more mesmerized by him. He had such a strong presence and Mae felt her heartbeat quicken just at his gaze. He winked at her as he announced their last song.

Mae decided that she'd walk over to the merch table to start getting things set up. A few people had already walked back as well to start buying merch but Mae feared they wouldn't have enough.

Andy didn't have any money to print shirts so they only had about a hundred. A ton of kids were already lined up to buy them. Luckily, they had tons of demos.

"Guys, thank you so much! You may not know us but you gave us a chance. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here! I love you all!" He waved at the audience before throwing his towel out. Girls screamed, giving Mae a headache.

She had started to help the kids lined up, smiling at all of them with sincerity. They asked questions of Andy and her of course but most weren't rude about it.

Amy joined to help and pretty soon they were almost sold out. She noticed that her parents and Chris were pretty intoxicated.

"I got this Mae. Go talk to Andy." Amy said. The younger girl nodded, grinning before running to her boyfriend.

She walked behind him before closing her hands around his eyes. "Guess who?" She said, in a deep voice.

"Hmm- Batman?" Andy chuckled, curling his hands around her tiny wrists. "Eh I don't know though. Your pretty skinny." She uncovered his eyes and jumped on his back.

"That's cause it's obviously your amazing girlfriend." He laughed as she slid down and pulled him into a kiss.

"Mm." He mumbled as she licked his lip. "Chris is having a party. You want to go?"

"I thought we were staying in?" She smirked.

"I'd rather get drunk as hell." He laughed, his arms coming around her waist.

"Yeah that'd be nice." She giggled as he jerked her closer. Her arms stayed around his neck and her hands rested on his upper back.

"Drunk beyond belief." He shook his head, smirking. "I've got to pack up some equipment, darling. Come with me?"

"Okay." She said, taking his hand. He squeezed her's, waving at a few girls who stared at him. Mae only giggled at them all as some of them glared.

She helped the guys load the equipment back into their old looking van. It was Sandra's dad's but luckily he lent it to the band.

She loaded any left over demos and a whole box of tee shirts they had forgotten about. Andy felt so lucky that she was willing to help and that she cared.

Andy guided her back inside the venue to say goodbye to their parents but they were all pretty drunk that they just waved before going out to his car. His hand stayed on her lower back through the whole drive to the old barn where Chris had all of his infamous parties.

When the couple arrived music was already booming and the air was chilly. Tons of people were there and Andy took her hand comfortingly.

"I thought you weren't popular.." She mumbled. "Since when do you go to parties?"

"Since I like to get drunk. The only people here that know me are the band and.." He sighed. "Sluts."

"Oh, great." Mae groaned. He laughed, wrapping his arms around her chest and kissing her cheek loudly.

"Stop baby!" He grinned. "You're my girl. Don't forget that."

"I won't." She sighed as they walked in the barn together. A few people clapped Andy on the shoulder, telling him he did a great job.

Mae stayed on his arm the whole time until Chris thrust drinks into their hands. She looked up at her boyfriend uneasily as he took a sip. "Andy, I don't take drinks unless I see them poured." She said. He hadn't seemed to hear her as he listened to something Chris said. Whatever it was made him laugh out loud and then he glanced down.

"What's up?" He asked, turning his head to her.

"I don't take drinks unless I see them poured." She said, a little more annoyed this time.

"Uh- here." He took the drink from her and took a sip. "It's fine babe. Just beer."

"I-I'm just not comfortable." She said, chewing on the inside of her cheek. Her big blue eyes were his weakness so he stood up and walked over to the cooler nearest him. He grabbed a can of beer out and then poured it into a solo cup.

He returned to his girlfriend and handed her the cup before sliding her into his lap. "Better?" He asked. She nodded, settling into his chest. He took a long sip of his own beer as she just left it in her hand.

He gave her a look and she shrugged before taking her own sip. She couldn't help but love how the drink fell down her throat. It burned but it felt great.

Five drinks later, Andy and Mae found themselves outside with everyone else watching as Chris and Mark jumped into the lake near the barn. Mae certainly felt a buzz and so many people were smoking weed around her she was positive she was getting high just from fumes.

Mae had been to parties before with Eran and she'd gotten high plenty of times. She just never did it with someone she was totally head over heels for. She found that she just wanted to make out with Andy and he wasn't denying it. If anything he was encouraging it and in her drunken state, it was hard for Mae to say no.
