The Devil in the Mirror

Rose's POV:

I woke up at 5:00am on Friday. I was flying out to see Chris a day earlier than expected, but I wanted it to be a surprise. And i was so giddy, that I simply couldn't wait for Sam to drive me to the airport.

I had been packed since I found out about my early flight, a early Christmas gift if you will, from my awesome roommate! I truly owed her after that!

"Alright, alright! I get you're excited to see your boyfriend, but please, for the love of god, turn off the god damned lights!" Said roommate complained, covering her messy head with her pillow.

I giggled and murmured a soft apology, turning off the lamp and skipping off to the kitchen. Due to the weird time difference, Chris was probably already up and about. I knew that he did't have a show today, and had a day off until next Thursday. Meaning, lots of time spent together! I could hardly wait! I sat on top of the counter, scrolling through the contacts on my iPhone, before resting my finger idly on Chris' contact. I then pressed the 'FaceTime' button, and patiently waited for him to pick up.

"Hey beautiful!" he greeted with a sleepy smile, "what are you doing up so early? isn't it like, 6am for you?"

I giggled, "actually, it's a bit after 5:00." The look on his face was hilarious.

"What the hell are you doing up so early? You need sleep baby! You've got a long flight tomorrow."

I sighed, if only he knew that I had an early flight today, in a couple hours actually.

"yeah, I know. I have been studying for mid-terms, and I guess my sleep patterns are fucked up because of it. I'm sure I'll be back to normal once I'm beside you again."

Chris grinned, and we chatted for a little bit, before hanging up.

I glanced at the time, and realized that we had to go, like now.
