The Devil in the Mirror

Rose's POV:

I had fallen asleep awaiting Chris' call. The typical university student way also, head on my text book, lights still on, and my notes everywhere. Sam had taken a picture just to prove how hard I worked.

I yawned as as I woke up, the sun streaming through the open windows, a cool breeze shuffling my notes. I jerked awake immediately at the sound of a pan landing onto the hardwood floors, rubbing my eyes as I glared at my roommate. She offered me a apologetic smile, and handed me a mug of chai tea.

I accepted the cup gratefully, and took a sip. Sam smirked at me and plopped down on her bed across from me.

"Sorry to wake you, but I figured you'd have my head if Chris called and you missed it again."

my eyes widen and I set down my cup harshly, the warm liquid spilling over the sides. I pounce on her, "what? When? Why didn't you tell me sooner? Has he called again?" I fire hundreds of questions at her, making her laugh.

"He called last night, after you'd fallen asleep. I just let it go to voicemail, but I'm sure he'll call right about..." My phone began to ring, "now."

I give I've out a little shriek, and press my phone to my ear, relieved when I hear his voice on the other end.

"Hey baby!" Chris exclaims on his end.

"Hi Chris! I'm so sorry I missed your call, I guess I was sleepy.... Anyways, how was the show?"

He he chuckles lightly, "no problem babe. I just wish I could've been there, you're pretty adorable when you're sleepy," my heart flutters at his words, and a smile ignites my face, "and the show was awesome! The fans were amazing, as usual. I just wish you could've been there."

I look out the window, the sun shining through the New York City skyline, and I imagine Chris is standing behind me. I just miss him so much.

"im sure it was wonderful, hopefully I'll be able to watch a couple shows after I'm on break. I just wish you could be with me right now, watching the sun rise over New York."

"I know baby, only a few more days, and then I'll never let you out of my sight."

"I miss you," I whine.

"I miss you more," he promised.

"It is," I argue with a grin.

"Trust me, it is."

Okay, so I know this is an Andy story, but you've got to admit, Rose as Chris, or Chrose make an adorable couple!
