The Devil in the Mirror

Chapter 34

Rose's POV:

I kept my emotions at bay as we reentered the front lounge, the room quieting at my sudden presence. I guess they didn't expect for me to actually face Chris again, I guess that makes two of us.

I refused to so much as glance at him, he was here not on my behalf, but because BVB was on tour with them, and I had to be at least civil. After all, they had taken care of me for weeks, I couldn't blatantly ignore them entirely. Well, everyone except Chris, I deserved the right to ignore Chris.

I kept my head held high as I walked proudly past him, sitting opposite of him beside Ricky. Despite the obvious tension now in our relationship, I still hoped to at least maintain some of my friendships with them, and to my luck and relief, Ricky smiled at me. Andy grinned at the sight, and sat on my other side, pulling me to his side, giving me his support. I really appreciated it, after everything we'd been through, he still cared about me, and loved me. He was truly something else. Something incredible.

Nobody spoke for a moment, all of us holding in our breaths. seeing as I more or less made things so awkward, i felt the need to clear the air, and was the first to speak.

"So, movie?" I asked, leaning forward.

There were a few mumbled responses, and eventually, Jake resumed the movie. Hours turned to days as the film played. i'm fairly certain that barely anyone payed it any attention, everyone indiscreetly casting side-long glances at either Chris or I, which i simply ignored letting their awkwardness wash over me.

One thing my relationship with Chris taught me was that i was oh so done with being the victim. I was through with caring so much about people's opinions, and more importantly, I was done with being taken advantage of. Things were going to change, and things would get better. Because if I could beat her, I could do anything.

Andy's POV:

Rose took the situation well. Very well.

She didn't even bat an eye at the stares she received from the people who knew her best, and instead held her head high and leaned into me, content with pretending to watch the movie. She promptly ignored Chris, much to my relief, and kept her face blank as he sent her longing looks. I on the other hand, resisted the urge to knock his teeth out.

Fucking bastard stole my Rosie, my girl, from me, toyed with her emotions, and then more or less ruined her.I don't even understand how she made it through, but I'm glad. I love her, and even though I went through hell to get her back, I'm glad things eventually worked out. Or else thing's would be different.

Andf I like hwo thing's are now.

Notes

shortish filler chapter, but I need to confess something to you guys...
I'm stumped.

I have no idea what to do for rose and Andy's relationship anymore, I had considered making a third book, but i can't foresee that anymore, especially with other projects I want to start. So, thoughts? I may potentially make another story f you guys really ask for it though.

hope you have a lovely weekend!
