Two of the Best

He past few days had been hectic. Traveling, concerts, sleeping, fucking. Everyone was in a whirlwind of something new. Alex and Andy, they were doing so much together it was unreal. Half of the time, you couldn’t get them out of the bedroom. CC and Raven, they were happy, or so it seemed they were. But Raven was hiding something, and no one knew what. Three nights after the self-harm incident and giving up the blades, Raven said she needed air and some time to breathe.
She walked absentmindedly to the open cliff she saw in her dreams. She knew that she would find it one day. She stood, admiring the beauty of the water hitting the rocks below her. Her multi-colored hair whipped across her face as the wind blew in the cool night. All she could think of was the texts and calls and tweets she had been receiving. Without thinking another thought, she pitched herself over the ledge. She landed at the bottom and her blood poured into the sea.

CC’s POV
“Raven?! Raven! Where are you!” I ran, panicking. She had been gone for two hours. We had no clue where she was. But then Alex ran to the cliff that over looked the sea. And by the way she sank to her knees, I knew it was over. I ran over to her and looked down, already knowing she was at the bottom. Perched on the rocks, her body lay limp. It was over. She was gone.
Andy dialed 911, and when they got there, they said there was a faint pulse and they would do all they could. I followed them over and waited for what seemed like days with the guys and Alex. The doctor came and told us the obvious: Severe wounds to her back and head, coma, severe blood loss, the works. They worked on her for hours, all of us on the edge of our seats. Then, the doors opened.
“Those here for Ms. Pillar?” At the sound of her last name, we all stood and rushed over. “It appears that the patient will be okay, but is in a non-responsive coma. She will remain here until she wakes.”
“Can we see her?!” I ask. I need to know she’s okay. The doctor nods and leads us to a room. Raven’s almost lifeless body lay covered by blankets. The doctor leaves and Alex moves over to her side. She gently grabs her hand and squeezes, and Raven’s eyes flutter open. Unresponsive my ass. She looks around at our shocked faces and sobs.
“Why aren’t I dead!? I should be! Why am I? What the? AGH!” She screams, clutching her head. I rush over to other side and pull her hands away from her head. Andy rushes to get the doctor, who, upon entering, looks shocked.
“Doctor? What’s wrong with her?! Fix her! Save her! DO SOMETHING TO CALM HER DOWN!” We all scream at the doctor. He nods and pushes us to the far end of the room and assess Raven.
“She will be fine. She’s just suffering from pain in the back of her head where her stitches are located. Did anyone see what happened?” He asks. Alex holds her hand up.
“I was with her. We were just looking off the cliff when she stepped a tad to far and fell. I tried to grab her, and I did, but she slipped.” Alex says smoothly. We all look at her, even Raven, and are shocked at her lying. The doctor nods without question and walks out. A nurse then walks in.
“She can leave in the morning if she feels okay.” Is all she says before administering the pain medication to my beloved girl. The nurse leaves, and I say that I will stay overnight and let everyone else get some rest. Andy and Alex look at each other deviously and I laugh softly. Everything will be okay. I know it.
