Forsaken, I Walk The Night Alone

Here We Go

Andy smiled at the customer as he handed her the record she'd just bought. She walked out, swaying her hips in his face.

Vale had a day off today but Andy was working. He plopped down on the stool and crossed his arms, laying his chin in his hand.

"Andy, I'm going to lunch. You going to be okay?" Rachel asked, walking from the back.

"Yeah, I'm good." He nodded, changing the song playing in the store to a Rancid song. He sang along to it as he fixed the records and smiled to himself. He loved singing and when no one was in the store he could do it all he wanted.

Unfortunately, he didn't see the guy that came in and when he was done singing he heard someone clapping.

"Uh.." Andy blushed under the guys gaze.

"That was great." He laughed. "I'm Rob Nicholson or more commonly known as Blasko." The guy had a long beard and long hair. He had thick earrings in and was wearing an AFI tee shirt.

"Andy Biersack." He said. "Can I help you with something?"

"Just wondering what you're doing working in a store and not on a stage with fire and tons of tech." Blasko laughed.

"Ah- well that's the plan." Andy smiled. "Just a bit of a pit stop."

"Well I can help you with that." Blasko said. "I'm a manager and I'd love to be yours."

"I-I don't have any money to pay you.." Andy bit his lip ring. "But thanks a lot."

"That's okay. I don't need any money, I'm the bassist for Ozzy Osborne's band. I think I'm good." Blasko chuckled as Andy's eyes widened. "I just think you could go somewhere, kid. You got a band?"

"Yes. We're called Black Veil Brides." Andy smiled.

"I like it. Meet me tonight at seven where we can talk a little easier. How about the coffee shop down the street, Tracks?" He asked.

"Yeah, of course." Andy nodded enthusiastically. "Thank you so much." Blasko left the store and Andy was breathing heavily.

Did that just happen?

Vale walked down the street, her purse flopping against her shoulder. She was tired of the four walls of the apartment and decided she would go get coffee.

She entered the shop and smiled, smelling the freshly ground coffee beans. "Hi can I help you?" The girl behind the counter asked.

"Yes. I'll take a medium caramel iced coffee and a caramel macchiato." Vale said, thinking she'd suprise Andy at work.

"Okay, what's the name?" She asked.

"Vale."

"Alright, that'll be 6.36." Vale handed the girl her credit card. Andy and her opened up an account together a week or so ago.

She went to sit down and wait for her coffees when she noticed a guy staring at her. It wasn't creepy, in fact it seemed more like he was admiring her.

He had tons of tattoos but his face seemed less than harmful. His hair was floppy and brown and his eyes were a gorgeous brown as well.

She grabbed her coffees and sat back down to drink her's for a bit. She saw the guy come and sit down next to her.

"Uh- hey this may be weird but I just wanted to tell you how much I like your shirt." The guy said. Vale looked down to see she was wearing one of Andy's Batman shirts.

"Really?" She chuckled.

"Actually, I just wanted an excuse to say hi. I'm Mitch- Mitch Lucker." He said.

"Vale Augustina." She smiled at him. "But I hate to bring you down, I have a boyfriend."

"Oh- I have a girlfriend actually and a daughter." He said, laughing as her eyes widened.

"Wow." She laughed.

"Yep." He nodded. "I just thought you looked cool. I need a few friends, out of the business."

"The business?" Vale chuckled, taking a sip of coffee.

"I'm the frontman of Suicide Silence. We're a metal band." Mitch smiled.

"Ah- I see. My boyfriend is trying to get his band off the ground." Vale said watching as his eyes widened.

"Wow, I'd love to hear them." Mitch said.

"Well, they have a show in October in the parking lot of Plan 9 Records. I could text you the details and you could bring some of your friends maybe.." Vale smiled, knowing how many doors this could open for the guys.

"I'll try to make it." He said. "What's your number." Vale gave it to him and laughed as he walked her out of the shop and towards work where Andy was.

It wasn't an attraction, more of a feeling that Mitch and Vale would become great friends that had her smiling as wide as possible.

"Hey baby." Andy grinned at her as she walked in the shop, Mitch trailing.

"Hi, love." She said, giving him a small kiss and handing him his coffee.

"Aw, thanks." He said, kissing her forehead. "Who is this?" He asked.

"This is Mitch, frontman of Suicide Silence." Vale said. "We met at the coffee shop a few minutes ago and he's going to come to your show and bring a few friends."

"Awesome man, I'm Andy." He smiled at him.

"Nice to meet you." Mitch nodded. "And you as well Vale but I've got to get going. I hope we can all hangout soon. Maybe a double date."

"Yeah!" Vale said. "I'll see you soon Mitch!" He smiled before walking out of the shop.

"He seemed nice." Andy grinned, holding onto her waist.

"He is." She said, kissing him again. "When will you be home?"

"Well I actually met someone too, today. His name is Rob Nicholson or Blasko. He wants to be my manager Vale!" Andy exclaimed.

"That's amazing baby!" She grinned, pulling him into a tight hug.

"I know, it feels like things are falling into place." He said, sipping his coffee.

"They are! So you're meeting this guy?" She asked, leaning on his chest as he leaned back on the counter.

"Mhm, at seven." He nodded.

"Where?"

"Tracks."

"Ah okay. Well, tell me how it goes and I'll see you after." She leaned up to peck him and pulled away. "I'm going to head back-"

"Wait a second.." He chuckled, taking her hand and keeping her in place.

"What?" She quirked her eyebrow.

"It's your birthday tomorrow." He smiled, letting his hands trail down her hips. She giggled.

"How did you know?" She asked.

"I know everything." He smirked and she made a face. "Fine, Tallie told me."

"Ugh!" Vale exclaimed. "I told her not to say anything!"

"Why not?" He frowned. "I only had a few days to get you a damn present!"

"You didn't have too.." She mumbled.

"I did." He laughed, kissing her temple. "And so did everyone else so I guess you have to deal with it."

"Ugh." She groaned again.

"What's wrong with birthdays!?" He exclaimed.

"I don't know.." Vale sighed. "When I was still with Hallie, we had the same birthday and she always got the attention."

"Well that's not going to happen this time. We have something planned." Andy grinned. "And you have another day off with me. I asked this morning."

She rolled her eyes. "I guess it will be fun."

"Oh, it will be. Just wait." He smirked.

"Believe me, I am." She shook her head. "I'll see you later." She kissed him quickly.

"Okay, bye Hun." He smiled, "Love you."

"Love you too."

If you're really attached to the idea of being on the popular page, I suggest updating frequently, which makes your story more visible, and making your story really long. What I have written is not, by far, the best available, but sometimes my longer story will randomly become "popular." I couldn't figure out why, until I realized, it's, like, 160 pages long as a word document! So, if I get a new reader, and they read it all from start to finish, that's like a short story getting, like, 40 views! I mean, it still has almost no subscribers or comments. Just a thought. ;)
