Forsaken, I Walk The Night Alone

Blasphemous

"Uriel?" Andy asked, a smile growing on his face. The woman grinned and opened her arms.

Andy gave her a quick hug before returning to Vale. CC and Talula hugged her next, leaving the demons and Vale clueless.

"Hello everyone, Vale." Uriel nodded at the young girl who only looked at her with furrowed eyebrows. She was thinking. The woman looked so familiar to her and she wanted to remember.

"I-"

"Think harder my dear. It will come to you. It's in you." Uriel said.

A memory came back to Vale's mind. One where Uriel and her walked the long gardens paths together. They talked of Andy and Vale's future, of everything. Uriel had been one of Vale's very best friends.

"Oh my god! Uriel!" She exclaimed, running to her. They hugged, laughing. Vale felt proud of herself for really remembering. She was so close to becoming her true self she could almost taste it.

Andy smiled proudly at her before pulling her body to him. He kissed her cheek and rubbed her back. "Your doing amazing, hun."

"Okay, can someone please tell me what the hell is going on?" Ashley asked.

"I am the angel Uriel and all of you are in grave danger." She said, looking around the room.

"How?" Andy asked smoothly, pulling Vale to a chair in the corner and sitting her on his lap.

"The people who did this are not human. They're demons. A special kind of demon that Satan has just created." Uriel said.

"So it's one of our kind?" Jake asked.

"Then we're not in danger. Let's leave-"

"You will not!" Uriel screamed. With a wave of her hand she slammed CC's door shut. The demons all stared at her with wide eyes. "For what you did to Vale, I should smite you right here but I won't because we need you."

"What do you mean?" Ashley crossed his arms.

"I mean that those demons are out to get you as much as they are Vale and these Angels." Uriel said. "You didn't complete Satan's task, you didn't kill Valea so now your on his kill list."

Ashley, Jake, and Jinxx all looked at each other shock written on all of their faces. "How do we know you aren't messing with us?"

"Angels don't lie." Andy interjected and everyone knew it was true. Lying was a sin and Angels didn't sin.

Well, fallen angels did but not Uriel. She was an arch angel- one of gods elite.

"What are we supposed to do?" Ashley asked.

"He's not going to change his mind so help us fight." Uriel said, looking at everyone in the room.

"Fight against what, exactly?" Jinxx asked, his hip leaning against the desk next to him.

"You've read the bible I'm assuming?" Uriel asked and everyone in the room nodded, demons were required to read the bible. "And you know the parts Satan added in?"

"Killing yourself would result in going to hell." Ashley recited.

"Yes. It's a sin. But God didn't write that in." Uriel explained. "And we're doing everything to take it out but Satan cursed it. He uses those kids to create his demons- you."

"You're saying we were humans?" Jake asked, astonished.

"The three of were human. You killed yourselves because you felt like you didn't fit in anywhere." Uriel said. The three demons shared horrified faces.

"H-how can this be true?" Ashley asked. This was the first time Andy had ever seen him look so nervous in his life.

Uriel didn't answer, just kept going. "You guys were just kids- teenagers and life wasn't fair. The devil took advantage of this. He made you guys demons and reset your minds. We want to make you all angels. Full, fallen angels."

"Why?" Jinxx shook his head.

"As of now, we need you. We need you all to help stop these children from harming themselves. It's the only way we can stop Lucifer's army from forming." Uriel said. "And what better than having three demons on board that know the ins and outs of hell?"

"How would we do this, Uriel?" Andy asked.

"Music." She answered simply. "Be the voice these kids need. Save their souls, be blasphemous it doesn't matter. Just save these poor kids souls."

"Music?" Vale shook her head. "How is that going to help?" She felt Andy's reach up to softly rub her stomach.

"It wouldn't be you. It would be these five guys. You and Talula help keep look out for demons." Uriel said.

"So you want us to what? Be in a band together!?" CC asked like the thought was absolutely insane.

"Yes. All of you play instruments-"

"I don't." Andy said, his hand gliding under Vale's shirt to now rub her exposed skin. She was relaxing and more and that's all he wanted.

"You sing." Uriel said.

"You do?" Vale looked up at him and he only shrugged. He was okay.

"Your confident." Uriel said. "A lead singer needs to be confident." Vale thought back to her best friend, Bret. He was about as cocky as they come.

"The only reason we play instruments is because of our time here on earth, listening to all of the music. We couldn't play in a band.." Jake said.

"You could. And you will." Uriel said. "If you want to stop Lucifer from killing all these kids. He's the bad thoughts. He's what makes you feel like your nothing when really everybody is something."

Something in Ashley changed at those words. He had killed himself? No, Lucifer had made him kill himself. He could have been a happy guy, living life the way he was supposed to be but he was killed himself for nothing. For feeling like he didn't fit in.

He wanted to stop these kids from doing this. He wanted to help everyone out there from feeling alone and judging by the looks on everyone's faces they felt the same.

"We'll do it."

If you're really attached to the idea of being on the popular page, I suggest updating frequently, which makes your story more visible, and making your story really long. What I have written is not, by far, the best available, but sometimes my longer story will randomly become "popular." I couldn't figure out why, until I realized, it's, like, 160 pages long as a word document! So, if I get a new reader, and they read it all from start to finish, that's like a short story getting, like, 40 views! I mean, it still has almost no subscribers or comments. Just a thought. ;)
